II- Lies

I woke to Danet shaking me by my shoulder. "Lady Jaiden!" She seemed very scared and nervous.

I rose tiredly. "What is it Danet?" I looked around the room nothing seemed wrong.

"The King!" Danet shouted and grabbed my arm getting me into a dress quickly brushing my hair.

"Where's Echo?" I asked and saw her sitting in the corner dazed. I didn't need an answer now so Danet said nothing.

I walked to the king's chambers where I saw Jamie Lannister standing infront of the closed door. "Is my father, Lord Stark in there?" I asked looking to the door.

Jamie had a cocky smile and said. "Yes he is, but he told me not to let you in. "

"How come?" I asked and looked at Jamie nervously.

"He doesn't want you to bother him, the King was rammed by a hog. "I heard Jamie say and then coughing sounded from in the room.

Soon my father came out and took my hand. "Jaiden. "He said to me.

"Yes father?" I asked and wondered why he'd approach me first.

"I want you to go home. The King he..." My father trailed off and I saw he was grieving. "Ser Jamie here will escort you home. "

"Why?" I asked and slightly tilted my head glancing at Jamie.

"You shouldn't be here right now, I'm sending Arya and Bran home too. "My father shook his head.

"What about Sansa?" I asked and wondered about my sister.

"She'll be married to the new King, Joffery. "My father handed me to Jamie who took my hand. "Go. "

I nodded and wondered why I had to leave. "Let's go. "Jamie led me to the stables.

"Where is Arya and Bran?" I asked while Jamie saddled a horse.

"They left ahead of us. "Jamie cleared his throat and turned to me. I witnessed Jamie's handsomeness and I knew why women swooned over him.

I nodded and Jamie spoke again. "You know how to ride?" He asked as he gestured to a horse.

"Of course. "I said and walked to the horse.

"Let me help you on. "Jamie reached for my waist but I pushed him off.

"N-no I'm fine. "I lifted myself onto the horse. While pulling myself onto the horse I lost my footing and fell. I fell on my ankle and let out a shriek as it twisted underneath me.

"Ow!" I clutched my ankle now on the ground.

Jamie walked to me shaking his head. "Here let me help you walk. "

"No!" I almost yelled and it stunned us both. "I can walk. "I sounded calmer and tried to stand but failed miserably scraping my knee.

"Lady Jaiden we aren't getting anywhere like this. "Jamie sighed and took my arm. "I'm helping you like it or not. "

I didn't argue as Jamie lifted me to his horse by the waist, his touch sent shivers down my spine. Lifting me up Jamie got on behind me himself. His chest was against my back and he held the reins infront of me. I felt very uneasy about being so close to Jamie.

We rode out of KingsLanding before I asked. "When will we get there?" I looked ahead instead of looking back at Jamie.

"Maybe three days, two if we're lucky this includes stopping for the night. "Jamie said simply and I shuddered. I had to spend a night alone with Jamie Lannister.

"I'm not all that bad. "Jamie caught me off guard and I turned to look back at him.

"What do you mean not all that bad?" I asked and gazed into his beautiful eyes.

"People call my a Kingslayer and an oath breaker. "Jamie said codly as he kept his eyes ahead.

"What of it? Everyone has something their resented for. "I turned back ahead acting like I didn't care.

"Your different. "Jamie said softer and I whipped around my hair flowing. I saw Jamie's soft expression.

"What do you mean by that?" I questioned him with an eyebrow raised.

Jamie took my chin in one hand. "Your like no other Lady I've met. Your beauty is unspeakable, I've heard how you held a sword and a bow, you don't let anyone walk over you...." He trailed off.

"So?" I snapped my head back nervously.

"I want you. "Jamie said. Before I could protest our lips met. I felt his soft lips touch mine. I was shocked but something in me kissed him back. The horse stopped and we parted to breath.

"Ser Jamie I-" I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder and looked down at it. A arrow was through my shoulder. I let a breath escape my mouth as I froze terrified.

Jamie looked around frantically and held me close drawing his sword. "Step out now!" I heard Jamie growl before I passed out from bloodloss.

I woke up in a tent and a fire. I looked to my shoulder, the arrow was removed and my wound was bandaged. I caught sight of Jamie next me he'd fell alseep watching me. "Jamie?" I coughed and woke Jamie.

Jamie looked up startled and his eyes darted to me. "Your awake. "He said and our eyes meeting.

I looked to my wound. "What was it?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter anymore. "Jamie dodged my question and he pushed a piece of loose hair from my face.

I saw that I was wearing on of my nightgowns and my cheeks flushed pink realizing Jamie had been the one to dress me. "How'd I get in this?" I asked playing dumb seeing what Jamie would answer.

Jamie looked away in embarrassment. "I got this if you want it. "Jamie handed me a basket full of oranges.

I smiled. "Where'd you get these?" I took one and began to peel.

"A small market by the river. "Jamie answered smiling lightly.

I unpeeled the orange and took a bite. "Uhh Jamie?" I said and he looked to me. "Back in the woods you said you wanted me...what do you mean?" I looked at him for an answer.

"Just pretend that never happened. "Jamie shook his head and walked off into his own tent for the night.
