Constant Repeat

Part 1

A little hum came from her after the band name was dropped, she couldn't say she had heard of them before but if Aaron said they were good then she'd trust him. Plus, if they had the budget to come all the way from the UK to Los Angeles just to record a music video, that had to mean they weren't just another small band—the musicians they'd worked with before were either locals or came from somewhere in the States.

"Well, I'll check them out after taking care of the list." Ella turned around after getting a smile from Aaron and making a promise of telling him how she found their tunes.

The list was long but not bad, she'd just have to make sure the different departments of production had everything to make the day go smoothly for everyone.

After making sure the venue they were recording at was scheduled for the day, the model/actress knew of where and when to go, makeup artists and costume design people had everything they needed for the shoot, and filming crew had their gear ready, she went back to her desk and placed the crossed over and highlighted list on the side.

Logged into her laptop, Ella opened her search engine and typed 'Arctic Monkeys'. A really weird name for a band she thought, but that's what musicians did: they were over the top and weird in their own ways, she really couldn't complain much about that.

Apparently they were very well known in their home country, Ella was quite impressed by them having historical debut album sales so she did what everyone would do after seeing that much impact for an LP—and of course, it's pretty sarcastic name—, she listened to it and to say she wasn't immediately drawn in to their sound was a lie.

Aware of how she had to check back in with Aaron before it got too late, she played the last track of the album when the first one was done. She loved the two tracks and she made a mental note to listen to the whole record on her drive back home, after going to the record store and getting the cd that was.

This time she went into Ben's office, seeing that Aaron was already in there. "Hi guys, list is all checked up and we're all good to go for the day."

"Thank you so much, we're all leaving in fifteen minutes so gather whatever you need before we head out." Aaron picked up the list and gave her a smile seeing everything handled, she for sure was one of the best PA's they'd worked with.

"Great, see you in a bit." Ella smiled and with that she left the room, making way to her desk where she just checked some emails to kill time.

Everything was going great. The model had gotten there right in time and it didn't take much time to get her ready since her face wasn't going to be shown on camera. As they got her dressed and ready to film, the crew started arranging the room for the shoot: it was a simple living room, with a couple of pieces of colorful furniture including a little table with a vinyl collection on the bottom of it and a record player on top.

They'd had to cover the rest of the windows in the little apartment so the sun just came from the window in front of the table, just the center of the shot would be covered by natural lightning all enclosed by the shadows of the rest of the room.

It made it look cozy, the proper setting for a casual music video, which was the main idea of it. So after two hours of shooting, getting multiple takes of the same scenes and some backups, they wrapped up filming.

The lingering smell of tobacco in the air was making Ella crave going outside for a cigarette but they had to get back to the office and leave again for the studio in Hollywood, where they would finally meet the band so she really had no time to excuse herself and smoke for a bit.
