The carpeted corner shines so powder blue it leaps,
The azure fidelity of a forget-me-not to it's name.
I wrinkle my nose in their playful cerulean chatter.
Her clustered flowers grin like sky above,
She fills my chest with her cobalt love.

They twist the hedgerows open with downy blossom,
Throwing her ivory blooms to my hungry bees and eyes
A blackthorn's unfolding of springs perfume.
She cleanses winter with blooms of soap,
Her spines are enveloped in florets of hope.

I press my head to the leaf litter to hear the violet whispers
Persephone's footprints siren a song to my thirsty ears.
As I pass, they lean to brush my ankles, to whisper of yellow love,
Splattered like secrets across a late night,
She basks in the rays of the morning light.

Found always by the violet, pouring stories through their roots,
The celandine smile pokes yellow in my nose,
A yolky giggle trickles from heart-shaped leaves.
Her vivacious stems entwined with mauve,
She flutters laughter across the grove.

A golden spray shatters my blanket green colourful
I hold it to my eyes watch the petals titter a dandelion laugh,
Wishes that pickle my cheeks with a tickled kiss.
We fuse and bubble in luminous alloy,
She welds her laughter to my greatest joy.

The breeze is warm and I sew the smell of it to my mind,
Sprinkled spices into a stew of colour,
I gallop the path, weave the undergrowth into my senses.
There are many flowers in my quilted soul,
But it is your blooms that make me whole.
