Your point of view

I hid behind the curtains in Stark's Party Suite, clutching my Violin. That's right, TONY STARK'S PARTY/ BALLROOM SUITE IN STARK TOWER! I posted my songs and music practice online sometimes, and Mr Parker(Intern at Stark Industries) thought I was good enough to play for his boss, Tony Stark, and I was there to entertain the guests of a Gala, hosted by Tony Stark, to publicise and advertise his newest Home Security Tech. Either way, I wasn't afraid of performing, not at all, but something felt off.

I nearly jumped out of my skin when someone tapped my shoulder, making me drop my violin. I went for the dagger beneath my sleeve, but my arm was caught before I could reach it. I nearly punched the person before realising it was Black Widow, who caught my other hand. I could feel my skin crawl as I realised it was her. I wouldn't stand a chance against her in a millennium.

"Bad form. Good reflexes, I didn't mean to tease," she said, letting me go as she picked up my violin.

I did my best to swallow my nerves as she handed me back my instrument, thinking I'd get kicked out now," N-no! No. I apologise. I shouldn't have tried to."

Still, I felt a shiver down my spine as I looked outside the curtain before turning back to her as she watched, an eyebrow raised.

"I-I just have a bad feeling. I'm sorry, I let my emotions get to me," I whispered. She kept her eyes locked with mine for a solid minute or so before holding a hand out to me.

"Natasha Romanoff. I like you," she said. I nodded, reaching for her hand before she grabbed onto me tightly, placing a pistol in my hand before she turned and left. Before I could ask or tell her to take it back, I saw the note she slipped with it, "Just in case."

All too soon, I was called on centre stage behind the curtains as Mr Stark spoke.

"Thank you, everyone, for coming. If you're interested in our new Security Tech, please consult with my Intern/Assistant, Mr Parker, for any more details. Enjoy the Party, and please enjoy Mz. (Y/N) and her performance of music and dance," he finished as he walked off stage.

The curtains rose. I stayed still, raising my Violin to my chin as I took a deep breath, staring into the deep red of my fate, my Soulstring.

Everyone has a soulmate.

Humans, Mutants, Heroes, Villains, Mortals, and Gods are all connected by Fate's String. The string gently tied to your left middle finger is connected to your Soulmate on the other side. You never know who they are till you find them, and until you do, the string on your finger is a deep, bold red, like blood. Once they're found, it will turn either Silver, showing your bond to be Platonic, or Gold, showing you are Romantic. Romantic Soulmates are far rarer than Platonic ones. Sadly, some strings are cut and black, their mate no longer being of this world. Seeing the red on my string showing they were alive and well...

That was enough for me.

I stared at my string for a quick moment before I began playing, simply plucking at my strings before strumming them with the bow as I started to dance and sing. Letting my loneliness and love ring through the room. (Song: A Thousand Years)

As I sang through the verses, the words dancing through my head, I began to feel a slight tremor through the ground of the stage, almost too light to notice. I had ignored it at first, and that was my first mistake.

Not even a full minute before the tremors had started, I heard a bang from outside, like the bang of a Cannon. I stopped as quickly as I could.

"EVERYONE GET DOWN!" I shouted before the first missile hit the glass windows, shattering them as it flew into the crowd.

Many screamed as it neared the floor before I caught it in my hands, fighting against it as it continued to fly. My wings were out now as I used all my strength to fight against the force, trying to hold it back from tearing a hole through the tower.

"I'm sorry! Too slow," I grunted as I fought the missile as it pushed me back toward the wall. I beat my wings harder, trying to overpower it before I fell over; the weight suddenly gone as it fell to the ground, split in half.

"Great catch, Lady Fae! However, the game's not over yet," Thor cheered as he lifted his axe high, flying out the window to fight.

I had to fight the shock echoing through my body as I did my best to get up, though I couldn't without help.

Mr Parker said as he ran over to me, pulling his spider mask over his face. "Hey! Are you okay?"

Peter Parker was Spider-Man.

"Let me go. I need to get out; my powers are stronger outside. I can help," I said as he helped me up. He didn't say anything till Captain America came out from the bar with his shield.

"You heard her, Spidey. Loki, cover her and the others! Stark, Iron Patriot, Falcon, Ant-Man, Wasp, go for the missiles! Thor, make sure Hulk doesn't smash the surrounding buildings! Scarlet Witch, QuickSilver, Dr. Strange, evacuate the civilians!" he said as we jumped out the window straight into the chaos.

Once we were outside, Spider-Man took a ride on my back as I flew, dodging missiles, shooting down at their launchers as best I could with Widow's pistol.

"Hey, what did you mean when you said you were too slow?" Spidey asked, jumping off from me onto the nearest agent. I took the one coming up behind him.

"Before I started performing, I had a feeling. You could say it's similar to your famous spider sense. After that, just before the first missile, I felt shaking through the stage floor and ignored it. I'm sorry." I apologised again as I ran out of bullets, replacing the pistol with my dagger.

I folded my wings into my back, diving down as I pushed back the agent behind Loki. I wasn't nearly as neat and graceful as he was.

He almost looked impressed. "You have no reason to be apologetic, Lady Fae. It would seem not even I sensed the signals of danger. You have done well; however, your stance and skills with the dagger are sloppy. I shall have to teach you."

I slumped over, coughing as I tried to catch my breath.

"This...this is my first fight, I'm sorry. You don't have to teach me, I'll make sure to stay out of your way," I argued as I straightened up.

I hadn't realised how close Loki had gotten to me before he put a hand on my shoulder, a rush of magic and energy entering my body like a jolt of static electricity. "As a matter of fact, Ms. (L/N), I do. After all, I don't wish for my mate to do something foolish."

I giggled for a moment at his teasing before I froze in confusion.

It...had taken me a few seconds to register what he had said. "Wait...what?" I

I felt another burst of energy burst through my body from his hand...wrapped in a Gold string, the same Gold String that was wrapped around mine.

"I don't wish for my Soulmate to get hurt after waiting for her a Thousand Years, Little Fairy," Loki said with a smirk as the realisation hit me...

Loki Laufeyson-Odinson; God of Tricks, Lies, and Tales, Master of Magic and Sorcery, Prince of Asgard...

Is my mate.

"Oh...H-hello," I said, stammering in amazement.
