Chapter - 8

Rakshan was shocked to see AK breakdown like that, he calmed him down and all started towards Sivaangi's house. AK did not talk even a single word since they started, he was just trying to the call police who was supposed to be monitoring her activities, only to find the number to be switched off too. "I am stupid, I should have been careful, Its my fault" AK's voice broke and he was in a very vulnerable state. Rakshan who have never seen his friend like this was really surprised and shocked at the same time. They finally reached her house and entered in a hurry as the door was already open. On moving further they saw an elderly man lying down with blood gushing out of his stab wound in chest and neck, Rakshan immediately bent down to check his pulse only to find he was dead but only a few minutes ago as they can see the would to be fresh, AK and Sarath split up and started to search the premises, while Rakshan called for ambulance and back up. AK just wanted to see her alive, all he wanted was just to hear her Ashwineyy one more time, his vision kept on getting blurred by the tears that would not stop since he heard her trembling voice, he wiped of his tears, and moved to a bedroom from the kitchen where he cannot find anything suspicious. The room showed all signs of struggle, the door which was bolted in was forced open and all the dresses layed on the floor and sivaangi's phone was found broken in pieces near the clothes. He rushed searching further in the room to find any sign of her, and after sometime he could hear some mumbling noise from inside the ward rope, he tried to open it, but it was locked from inside, he used his full strength and opened it. There she was sitting, holding her knees together and shivering in fear, blood was dripping down from her head wound. "Sivaangi ma" he called, but she was in too shock to respond, he called again and she lifted her face up slowly to find him standing there with his pistol, blood shot eyes, tears rolling down his cheeks. She could not explain the feelings that gushed through her at that moment, both knew they had something special, but that moment made them realize, how strong is the feeling. She jumped of from the ward rope on him and hugged him like that was the end of the world. he hugged her back, he felt he found the piece of puzzle that was missing all along to make his life complete.

"Appa..." her voice trembled and AK shook his head "Its too late, sorry ma". She fell down on the floor screaming her heart out, he held her close, and just kept whispering "I am here......". Sarath found the police with a head wound on the backside of the house, who was monitoring her activities.

"Sir, what the hell happened in her house" AK asked the Policeman as soon as the sedative wore out and he woke up in the hospital. "It was her uncle, aunt and their goons, they came in today morning and I was just monitoring from distance as advised by you, suddenly I heard noises and argument, I guess its about assets and partition, I rushed in but they have already stabbed her father and they just broke into room, I guess where she was trying to hide. On seeing me entering with a gun they all started to run from there, I followed them, but one of the men hit me from the back and I fainted. They escaped, sorry sir" said the policeman with head held down. AK hugged him and told "sir, you saved her life, just for the old times sake you have risked your life, you have done enough".

Sivaangi just woke up and found AK sitting there holding her hands, she could see he was very tired and was sitting near her the whole time. She don't know how to even live without her father, if he was not there, she would have been very much dead by now. She remained silent and was just looking at him, he suddenly noticed she is awake "Just sleep ma, you are ok but you have been in a great shock, you need to rest........" his sentence was cut short by the bang on the door. Her uncle, aunt and the goons entered along with commissioner. "Sir, naanga kooti porom" told her uncle and tried to reach Sivu's hand, but AK blocked the way and pushed him way. The uncle gave him a death glare but did not react as commissioner was standing there.

[Sir, we will take her]

"AK they are the legal guardian after her father, stop this" said the commissioner "Sir but they are the ones who  killed her...." again he was cut short by the commissioner. "Already the men who killed her father have surrendered, now move aside" finished the commissioner. AK was helpless, Sivu was terrified and held his hand tightly, but her uncle pulled her away. "Ashwineyy don't leave me....." were the last words that kept echoing in his ears. She has already been taken halfway across the room, that's when AK rushed and pushed everyone away and took her hand and started running outside the hospital. She was not able to cope up with all the medicines but still she managed to keep up. They reached the small temple outside the hospital, he took the holy thread and held towards her neck. He stopped and looked at her eyes which was full of confusion, pain and tears. "Do you want this?" he asked. She shook her head readily "More than anything else" and tears started to flow down her cheeks, he tied the three knots and kissed her forehead. "Wifeyy" he pinched her cheeks. The goons, uncle, aunt and commissioner who have now caught up with them was shocked beyond on what they saw. "Eh adha kalatti potu kootu vangada" yelled her uncle.

Sivu hid behind AK and held his hands tightly. "Stop this rowdyism, Sivaangi is this forced or is this with your consent" asked the commissioner. "Its with consent" said Sivaangi looking into his eyes, he smiled at her. "Good, you can all leave, anymore problems I will make sure you all remain behind bars for the rest of your life" warned the commissioner. All left the place only after giving a death glare towards the couple. "Congrats my boy" commissioner tapped AK's shoulders and left.
