Part 9. Tokyo Drift

"Thank you for what you've done for me. Without you I probably wouldn't be where I am. Even though you almost ended my life tonight. You've saved it many times. Thank you for teaching me things I didn't know. I appreciate you." I say to him

He smiles and hugs me. He gets in a car with a guard and they all drive off.

My friends are all now realizing what this means. We have to flee. Now.

"Finally my turn." Han grabs me as tightly as possible.

I hug him harder then I ever have.

"I'm so so so happy you're here with me. I love you more then anything. I'm so proud of you. I would do anything for you. You saved my life. Thank you." He says to me

"I'm happy to. I was right. We get to live the rest of our time together. You're stuck with me." I saw smiling

"You know. That's fine by me." He says pulling away

He hugs me again and grabs my face, and waist. He kisses me hard. Of course I kiss back. My face is red. But damn did it feel good.

He pulls away

"Been waiting way to long to do that one." He says

I laugh. I look at the other in shock. We all laugh until we cant anymore.

"We've got to go." Han says

Everyone looks at me sad.

"Do you really have to?" Neela asks

"Yes. I'm sorry." I say

Everyone hugs me and says goodbye.

"I love you Odessa. Thanks for everything you've taught me. Thanks for everything you've done for me." Neela cries into me.

"You're one bad bitch you know that. I'm so happy I met you. I know damn well this ain't the end for you and me. We'll see each other again." Suki whispers

"Trust me. I know..." I whisper back

We both laugh

Twinkie bear hugs me and cries on my shoulder.

"I LOVE YOU D. YOU DA BEST FOR REAL. THANK YOU." He cries out yelling

I laugh and say yourewellcome.

I walk over to Sean.

"No hugs. I hate goodbyes." He says

"Fine by me. Thank you so much. I'm so grateful I met you. Thank you for wining." I say

"No problem Ma'am" He says with his Texas accent

I walk over to Han.

"You ready Angle?" He asks

"Not really. Lets go." I say

I hop in my car next to him. I roll down both windows and wave out of them to my friends behind me. They're crying and laughing. It's so bittersweet. I know I'm doing the right thing.

I know damn well I won't be allowed back here safely for a very long time. But this is still one of my homes. I love every memory here. I know I have unfinished business here. But that's for another time.

I have an unfinished legacy. That's why I'm still here.

I look at Han in the car next to me. Hes beautiful. We both rev our engines loud.

"Where to babes?!" He yells over

I think for a minute.

"Home Han. Its time to go home." I say  back

"I was hoping you'd say that! Let's do it D!" He yells

We rev our engines one last time before speeding off as fast as we can.

We don't care about other drivers or police. Its just us. Driving like the reckless people we are. We NOS down the highway to the air port. Every now and then we look at each other through the car windows and smile.

I can't belive how happy I am.

I'm still alive and with the man i love. I'm finally going home. Once we reach the airport with roll our suitcases as fast as possible to the front desk.

A nice lady greets us.

"How may I help you?" She asks

"I need two plane tickets fast please." Han says

"Where to?" She asks

"He looks over at me. I walk to the side and get my phone out. I dile a number I haven't in a long time.

It rings a few times before a shocked voice picks up

"Hello" a confused voice asks

"Hi there." I say happily

"Odessa?" The voice says confused

"The one and only." I say

"Long time no see. What's going on?" The voice says

"I'm coming home." I say

"Really? Everyone will be very happy. When you coming?" They ask

"At the airport with Han now he's getting tickets." I respond.

"Well..I'll see you soon." They say

"See you soon Dom. And hey Torreto! Tell the family I said I'm coming home. Especially Letty. I'll be back in California soon. I love you." I say

"Will do. Can't wait to see you. I love you." Dom says

I hang up walk over to Han.

"Anything?" I ask

"There's a flight that can take us out but we have to hurry. You ready D?" He says

"One hundred percent. Just got off the phone with Dom. Told him to tell the family to expect us." I say

"Awsome. You ready to go back home in Cali." He says

"Let's do it baby." I respond wrapping my arm into his. We rush through security and board our flight.

I finally sit back. I'm not scared, or guilty, or angry, or bitter anymore. Im happy. Happier then I've been in a while. I get to go home.

I get to be with Han. And my team. And everyone else. I get to be with cars. I cant wait.

I must say though I'm going to miss Tokyo so much. Not necessarily the place though. What I'm going to miss most is...
