"I'm going to go collect some flowers!" I said with a smile while running off to the field with a basket in my hand. Mother smiled while saying, "Be careful don't get lost!" as we both laughed knowing I wouldn't get lost as I have been here all my life.
While I was picking flowers, I hadn't noticed that the sun was almost setting so i picked a few more flowers and ran back home. As I was running, I didn't notice the branch on the ground and tripped! I injured my ankle badly. It hurt a lot but I looked up and realized the sun had already set while I was whining.
In fear of the demons, I quickly gathered my stuff and ignored the pain while running back home just to see my family... All murdered with a puddle of blood. I dropped my basket of flowers and screamed in horror.
I ran over to my family to check all their pulses. They were all dead. "Mother.. Hana.. Yukan.. Hageshi.. all of you" I said with tears streaming down my eyes.
I heard quiet footsteps coming towards me so I turned around quickly to see this tall, muscular man with fangs and blood all over him. "a demon!" I thought in fear. Lost in my thoughts he said "Awh, you're so cute! too bad i have to kill you.." I was surprised and started crying even more.
"Please.." I mumbled quietly "what was that?" the tall man said, "Please kill me without pain!" i cried. The tall man looked surprised then smiled. "You're too cute! Drink some of Master's blood! It will turn you into a demon and you can live happily ever after forever with me!" he said. as the sparkle in my eye left, I replied "no sorry sir. I have no need of becoming a demon. I just want to be with my family." The tall man sighed and said "your cute though, come with me" he smiled as he picked me up along with the basket of flowers.
I didn't bother stopping him, I was too sad and tired to. It was midnight and the bushes kept on rattling. It was scary but I didn't care if i died now. it was so very quiet that you could hear the crickets.
I was about to fall asleep on his shoulders but the man broke the quietness and said "My name is Douma! what's yours~?"
