After Mints // Ashtray Fanfic

Chapter II

It's been a week now and Ray hadn't seen the handsome tattooed boy for a while. She didn't know his name. He didn't talk much and she was too scared to ask him. Maybe it's a good thing he didn't come to the bakery thought Ray, it was clear the boy was into some shady shit and that's the last thing she needed.

Tomorrow was the first day at a new school and she needed to get some sleep. So she shoved thoughts of him away and turned off her light.

Little did she know that she was all Ash could think about this past week. He had to fight the temptation to show up at the bakery every evening. He thought about her smile and how bright it was. How she looked like sunshine and had the cutest dimples he'd ever seen. He genuinely wanted to rip his brain out and throw it far away if he could. He was no simp. This was the last thing he needed, he reminded himself.

Fez could tell Ash was restless. He just seemed way more moody than usual, which was saying something but Fez didn't push it. He figured it was a hormonal teenager thing.

'Yo Ash, you want some food. Lexi made some pasta?' shouted Fez from the kitchen.

'Yeah coming' said Ash.

He entered the kitchen and Fez handed him a plate.

'Thank you Lex' said Ash as he smiled at her.

Lexi looked like Ash had grown another head. Did this boy just smile at her? SMILE?? Maybe she inhaled second hand smoke from Fez's blunt earlier cause there was no way in hell the boy that smiled at her.

The same boy that held a gun to her head when they first met and told her that he wouldn't hesitate to shoot her if she ever hurt Fez. Yes, over time he warmed to her and they became friends but this was her first Ash smile and that shit was rarer than a sober Rue.

Fez just shrugged. He had no idea what was going on with Ash but he was gonna figure it out.

'We're watching a movie tonight, you wanna watch with us?' Lexi asked Ash

'Yeah of course. But I swear if the two of you start making out again, I will literally burn this house down. It's bad enough I can hear y'all when I'm in my room with my headphones on, I don't need to see that shit too' said Ash.

Lexi blushed and hid her face in Fez's shoulders. She knew exactly what Ash was talking about. Fez and her had messed around in the living room without realizing that Ash was at home and could hear them. Man the minute they were done he had come into the living room and yelled at them about how this was a ''communal space'' and all Fez did was laugh.

'Man shut yo ass up and turn the TV on'  said Fez.

The three of them were now a family. They loved and protected each other and Ash knew that everything would be ok. Maybe one day, he could have what Lex and Fez had. Maybe they'd even stop selling drugs and have a shot at a normal life.

A/N : Just a little filler chapter but I thought it would be nice to see a cute moment between Fez, Ash and Lexi. Idk about ya'll but I'm still in shock over the season finale.
