It's past dinner time in the library. Finola is studying away for the upcoming OWLS, as in her true Ravenclaw nature. She's with Aspyn, her best friend and Hermione, her long time study-buddy.

A yawn escapes Aspyn's mouth, she's not exactly the studying type. She's naturally gifted in academics but she figured she may as well study a bit with Finola and Hermione. Although she's not getting much from it.

"Tired Aspyn?' Hermione says to Aspyn, a bit snarky on her end. Not on purpose of course, Hermione is just extremely jealous of the grades Aspyn can achieve without even opening a book.

"Yeah," Aspyn says between another yawn, "I better head back, get some rest."

"I'll walk you back," Finola says, "Be right back Hermione."

"I'll be here," Hermione replies, sticking her nose back into her book.

Finola and Aspyn walk to the Ravenclaw dormitories. Chatting about the dramas of their day as they walk. They get to the door of the common room, Aspyn says the password and enters. Finola follows after her, grabbing a notebook she had forgotten to bring to the library, then left the common room once more.

The halls can be scary at night, but Finola doesn't mind. She prefers to be alone, and the noises don't scare her all that much.

She's lost in thought and not even watching her step when she runs into someone. Her notebook falls to the ground and the person she had previously ran into reaches down to pick it up. She looks up, it's one of her friends, Ron Weasley.

Finola blushes, "Sorry," she pushes out despite her embarrassment.

"You better watch where you're going," Ron replies, "Where are you headed so late?"

"Well Weasley," Finola responds, "I hope you wouldn't consider this late, it's only eight in the evening and i'm heading to the library if you must know."

Finola has had a crush on Ron since the beginning of their fourth year. When it first started, it was just a small attraction that grew into an average teenage crush, and then into a little more.

Finola hoped he didn't see the blush still present on her cheeks, but there was no way to hide them at this point.

"Well you better get into the warmth of the library," Ron responded, "Why don't I walk you there to avoid any more collisions?"

His offer was so casual, but it made Finola's heart tumble. How could a boy do that with just their voice?

"That would be nice," she responded, smiling.

Something Finola was not aware of is that Ron also has a crush on her. Ron had always felt some sort of connection with her when they first met on the Hogwarts Express. They immediately understood each other and laughed at each other's jokes, even when others wouldn't.

Ron's true attraction to Finola was revealed to him in their 4th year, two Christmases ago to be exact. Ron had asked Finola to the Yule Ball, they were both good friends and didn't exactly have their eyes on anyone, they figured it would be a good idea.

Finola wore a long, slim fitting, sparkly purple dress. Lace trim of the same color rested right above the neckline of the dress, which was a sweetheart. The dress fit her body perfectly, Ron has never seen her in anything other than her school robes or uniform. Ron realized at that moment that he was in love with Finola Abrams.

Of course he could never admit that to her, she would just laugh at him. So best friends they stayed.

Slowly, the pair made it to the library, discussing their days and their plans for the week. A trip to Hogsmeade was coming up that weekend.
