Chapter 63

"Thank you, Taehyung." She just mumbled and forced a smile as she accepts it.

"Before I forget, you look so stunning, Seoyeon." He praised with all sincerity.

"You always looked ravishing, Taehyung." She praised in return, but this time with a delicate smile.

She's having mixed emotions right now. A mixture of pain, anxiety, betrayal, and being upset. But she knows Taehyung doesn't deserve any of those, so she tried to put all those negative emotions behind and finally flaunted her beautiful, soft smile.

"Thank you for the rose, Taehyung. I apologize for how I acted, I was just so surprised, but I'm really happy to see you again." She said, which made the smile on Taehyung's face to grow. "Let's go? We wouldn't want to make anyone wait."

So Taehyung ushered her downstairs, to his car. After settling themselves, they are finally off to the Convention Center. During their trip, they had little conversations about the happenings while Taehyung was away, but Seoyeon left the details about her and Namjoon. She's still confused on why Namjoon didn't even tell her about this.

"Do you think Mr. Kim is already at the venue?" She asked casually.

"Yup, I think hyung is there already. He left before me, so that's why. I was really happy when he let me be your date tonight. I had to bug him all night for this." He told her as he chuckled, while she just smiled. "By the way, how was hyung after I left the country? I heard from Hwayoung that you two became close." He then glanced at her as he asked that question.

"He's doing well, better than before. We're friends now." She replied, while he hums as he nods.

"That's good to know. I'm glad hyung is doing well. Thank you for being by their side, Seoyeon. We are so grateful to have someone like you." He complimented, but Seoyeon just exhaled deeply and didn't bother to answer since they have finally arrived at the venue.

There already few cars parked, all were expensive brands. Taehyung opened the door for her and lend his arm as they walk together. At the entrance, Seoyeon saw Ms. Kang, who is the one checking the lists. There were photographers as well, taking pictures of the guests as they enter. So when it was their turn, she smiled beautifully along with Taehyung. When they were finally inside, there were already guests around. Maybe half of the list have arrived. And without her notice, she was catching some attention on how attractive she is. One of them was Namjoon. He was talking to a foreign guest, but his attention was taken when he heard some whispers about the lady who just walked in with the youngest son of the Kim family. Even the one he is talking to was mesmerized by Seoyeon's beauty.

"Une si belle dame...." The foreign guest spoke while staring at her, which means 'such a beautiful fine lady' in French.

"Oui c'est effectivement une belle femme." Namjoon replied with hint of boasting, especially that people are acknowledging how beautiful his lover is.

(Translation: Yes, she is indeed a beautiful woman.)

Namjoon then excused himself and went to approach Taehyung and Seoyeon. But when she saw him, he noticed how her smile became faint until it disappeared. He knows she might be mad at him for what he did, but he was left with no choice.

"Hey, hyung! Nice decorations you have here." Taehyung greeted as he looked around.

"People were talking about the two of you, the moment you entered." He spoke as he smiled and glanced at Seoyeon, "You look very wonderful, Ms. Park." He praised, wanting to somehow make her smile.
