You burst into your cabin, panting frantically, heart racing. You slam the door shut and lock it, you then grab a nearby chair and force it under the knob to barricade it.
You hope it'll hold.
As you back into the cabin, you wonder how the hell it got to this...
Your uncle has a cabin, he never uses it anymore, it sat there in the woods, abandoned like something out of a horror movie. However, he was nice enough to let you use it since he has no use for it.
You figured you would go up for the long weekend, a good chance to be with nature, fish, and unwind. You needed it, you were exhausted from work, they had been running you ragged, so this long weekend was a perfect chance to unwind.
Of course, right as you got up, there, you found the cabin to be fairly dusty, and didn't even have electricity! Just a wooden stove, a fireplace, and a lot of lanterns and kerosine.
It gave off that Evil Dead vibe with the abandoned dusty cabin, the only difference being there was no basement, no Necronomicon, and no Bruce Campbell. Also you were alone.
However, it would work.
As long as it had a bed, a roof, and walls, along with a nice view of the lake, it was fine.
You had settled in there well, first night of sleep was pretty good the bed hadn't been slept in for a long time, sleeping on it felt like sleeping on a brand new mattress. The night nice and quiet and the cool night air made it easy for you to fall asleep.
Then the next day came, fishing! Your favorite pastime, it was nice, relaxing, and you could spend all day there. Not to mention you could catch your breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
However, before you could head down to the dock, it started to rain.
And not just drizzle, it poured.
What a hell of a first day.
You spent the day cleaning and dusting instead, got the place looking much better than it had before. It was now shiny, liveable, and lemon scented.
You could now have a girl over.
If you had one.
It had taken a while, but the rain seemed to have let up, you decided to head down to the dock, just to see what the lake looked like in the rain. You put on a small water proof windbreakers and headed down.
would have been the perfect time to see some fish, or enjoy the soothing noise of rain droplets hitting the water and the forest around you, that was perfect white noise for sleeping.
As you walked through the woods, you felt something uneasy, like you were being stalked. Then again, the woods were pretty thick with trees, it gave off that vibe, like this was the part where either Jason Vorhees or Victor Crowley would continue to stalk you, then appear and try to behead you, or kill you in some other gruesome way. You paid no mind to it, it's natural to feel a little scared in the woods. Then the explosion of thunder rang in your eardrums.
You knew damn well that when there's thunder, there's lightning and it wasn't good to be walking through the woods with lighting, last thing you needed was to get zapped.
You were about to turn around when a lightning flash lit up the woods, and then you saw it.
A silhouette of some creature in the distance
You were wondering if you were seeing things, like the lighting flash just made that outline, that perhaps the trees and pine needles mixed with the bushes angled together, constructing the perfect configuration to mess with your mind.
