"you should probably take a break. I don't enjoy seeing you couped up in your nest for so long just designing,"
a question of concern. one that made his ears ring painfully, it was loud too.
"whatever these are," philza continued, unknowingly making his head hurt even more, and subconsiously his chest.
He pinched his nose in passionless unamusement. Having already heard the former words multiple times dulled the supposed comfort it used to bring when he indulged in his unhealthy coping mechanisms, how he already knew that someone would eventually try to drag him out of his house, like every time he felt down and of course, it would be philza that would attempt to do so, his latest friend.
"what are these anyways? I can only guess they're for wings or something from the way the lines are arched up,"
Icarus felt a twinge of guilt; his friend kept on continuing his dialogues, not knowing that he was making him feel ill in ways that confused even him but thinking that he was providing hin comfort with his godly presence. which he was, undoubtibly.
he pushed the thought aside as he scribbled frantically on the parchment before him, layers and layers of ink bunching over each other until he heard an inevitable tear. "these are mobilities for, you guessed, wings"
an understanding hum came from behind him, making his spine shiver. he had his back turned against the most threatening, at least one of, person in the server, panic settling in briefly before subsiding from the reminder that they were friends, associates.
Icarus ducked his head down to look back at the paper he was pointlessly scribbling on, but not focusing on it, he couldn't focus on anything with all the unnecessery thoughts in him. It was messy, he was messy.
He rested his head between his arms, the right still writing mindlessly.
"cause, you're so close to- y'know," he unashamedly whispered under his breath, loud enough for the other to hear.
he didn't know what caused him to suddenly joke, he knew that phil knew that the wings were made in mind to try and assist the avians on the server to unground theirselves from the land, and that could've been his answer too but maybe it just slipped out naturally, reasoning how he had been making jokes of the gods unforseen death, or maybe he was seaking comfort from something familiar in the midst of his small internal crisis.
the passive comment drew out a sigh from the man behind him, which made him amusingly snicker, and a bit relieved.
Icarus allowed himself to chuckle, albeit muffled and quiet, it allowed him to get rid of the nasty heavy pressure in his chest that he was only half aware about, aswell as the breathe he didn't even know he was holding in.
He felt light, the ringing still in his ears but more faint and small.
he always did enjoy their little inside jokes, the feeling of allowing himself to banter and let lose, his head in the clouds while only he and the other were stuck in their own bubble. trying to conjure their own witty comback from the other's previous comment made his head swim, but maybe that's just him testing his luck.
"I'm not close to death ya bitch and also, paper is such an important resource," he felt a gentle tug on his sleeves, which made him raise his head—quickly turning to the source, to see the soft eyes of the only human-godish thing in his house staring directly at him. He felt his breath hitch pathetically, a small bubble of dread pooling in his stomach; he made phil worried for his well being.
he mentally cursed himself, the ringing came back, harsher than ever.
"So stop that, your arms are gonna get sore too which I don't want to deal with you moping about for a good few fucking weeks" he hummed absently, watching as the now ripped paper was quickly snatched from under him and into the drawers of his poorly made desk.
Icarus turned his head to stare again into the eyes of his companion, the baby blue always did complete the frame of his soft attitude towards his friends, he admired that from him, his kindness, he always did want to be unbashfully kind. He felt greedy trying to find comfort from the features and presence of his friend, one he was slightly envious of, one he was terrified of and one that he cherished, but mostly envious.
"you know," he whispered, only now realizing that his head was heavy with the need of sleep, which made sense on why he was acting odd. "I may take up the offer of taking a bit of a break, from, earlier."
