It was just the same old day, wake up, go for my morning stroll through mondstat, then get on with the day. I pick up my bag and my weapon, just in case, then head for my door.
As I approached Windrise statue I saw someone kneeling down beside it, as if worshipping it, but why? At this time of the morning? I respectfully walk past them and plonk myself down beside the tree, closing my eyes to breath in the fresh air. Only a minute or so had past before I felt an unnerving presence approach me.
I open my eyes to see a tall, broad shouldered and smirky man standing in front of me, staring down into my face.
"I see I'm not the only one to worship early" He spoke in a cheesy tone.
"I'm not here to worship, dude" I reply laughing.
"Dude?! Did you just-" He paused, "How disrespectfully rude of you!"
I stare blankly at him, seeing his smirk fade to a frown, "You're not seriously upset about that are you?"
"Well my name is not dude, it's Diluc, and yours?" his smirk reappeared and his hand reached toward me, "Smooth, I'm (Y/N)" I reach out and grab his hand, shaking it.
Diluc proceeds to sit beside me and we talk for an hour. I look at my watch and stand up, he looks at me in shock as i start picking up all of my things, "Where are you going?" He asks.
"I need to get to work," I say as i turn around and start walking, "I'll probably catch you tomorrow then?" I turn to say to Diluc, stopping for a moment as he was no longer beside the tree, or anywhere that i could see.
