Serpico x Reader Part 7

You jumped a little hearing another voice.

Guts was directly behind you.

"What's the matter" he asked you tiredly.

You turned to respond only to scream when he suddenly fell on you taking you both down.

Everyone rushed over realizing his wounds were quite serious. Serpico's eyes were wide seeing he was on top of you.

It came to Schierke's realization that these were wounds inflicted on his soul. It didn't matter if his flesh healed, this type of injury would cause them to reopen again and again.

Your eyes were wide as you looked up at him. He was unconscious. You attempted to prop him up and his blood got allover you. You didn't know what to do.

Puck and Ivalera tried to give him their dust but like Schierke explained they would only reopen.

Schierke pondered what to do with him when suddenly he rose to his feet like he were fine and walked off.

"It's no big deal" he muttered.

An obvious lie..

Schierke helped you up before anyone else could. You were all quite frozen over Guts's state. Schierke knew she had to think of something soon that might help Guts.

There were mention of getting back to the woods where the mistress might have a potion that could help.

Serpico reluctantly offered his shoulder to Guts only to be turned down.

"Should offer it to your woman" he muttered startling Serpico as he glanced back to you.

Your eyes only diverted.

Schierke stopped the group when she felt a strange sensation.. She thought she sensed her mistress for a moment..

A worry ignited within as you all got closer to the spirit tree.

Guts and Casca's marks started to bleed as Guts realized something very dangerous were awaiting at the mansion.

Apostles

You were alerted when you felt a gust of wind and Serpico suddenly at your side. He may have been displeased with you but that didn't stop him from wanting to protect you.

He didn't say much but you were thankful his love were true.

You all got closer to realize the place were on fire.. Schierke burst into tears sprinting toward the flaming house.

Farnese and Casca stayed behind and Guts ordered Isidro and Serpico to stop Schierke.

Naturally you followed too; even if Serpico despised the idea. He would have to deal with it.

Guts turned his attention elsewhere.. he had business outside with the army of apostles..

You shielded your eyes upon entering the cabin. The flames were coming from all sides.

You were aware of Serpico's discomfort of fire and warmly clasped his hand.
