Olivia's blue eyes flare but she doesn't argue with Stefan. She knows when to poke the bear and Stefan is not one you poke. He is one of the most influential directors in the industry. His words can make or break you. If Stefan Todd takes interest in you, your career is made. Olivia smoothes down her dress and switches her clutch to her opposite hand.
"It was very nice to meet you, Aurora." She turns to me and smiles. "Harry, we'll talk." She places one last kiss on my cheek before sauntering away.
I watch as Aurora watches her retreat. She's nervous now, her hands shaking just barely. Stefan turns around and gives us a warm smile as if that interaction never happened. He extends a hand to our table, gesturing for us to sit. We comply but Aurora has gone stiff. She seems uncomfortable now thanks to Olivia's words. No doubt they were meant to unnerve her but I am not sure why.
"Now," Stefan says, his focus back on an anxious Aurora, "Shall we order dessert?"
