It was a gloomy and dark day, and
Birds sought shelter under the trees.
A cold wind blew in through the
window, making the room extremely cold. It was, however, peaceful and
quiet.

As the clouds darken and the rain
begins to fall, a soft yet cold voice is
heard.

"Get me a cup of tea."

She then raised her hands slightly,
and a servent quickly entered the
room.

The servant quickly went to the girl who was sitting alone in the library reading a book and appeared to be at peace.

The servant spoke in a calm and kind tone as she poured the tea.

"My lady, it's cold in the library, how about I get you-"

The girl then set down her book and
looked at the servant, smiling softly
and saying, In a gentle tone.

"It's okay, don't worry, the fire in the fireplace will keep me warm. It's okay, you can leave now."

She then reopened her book and
resumed reading. The servant smiled gently and exited the room.

A few minutes passed and, The girl then sighed, as if she was so tired, she then closed her book before slowly standing up and placing it back on the shelf. As she placed the book back, she walked slowly towards the mirror.

She then stood in front of the mirror, staring at herself.

A woman of unrivaled beauty stared back at her in the mirror.
Her hair is long and wavy, so smooth and silky, her skin is smooth and soft, her lips are like roses, and her nose is tall and sharp, but her eyes are the most eye-catching of all, as black as the midnight sky, full of stars that shine through the night.

She just forced a smile at the mirror,
and she just stared at her reflection for a while, but then she felt a
presence from afar, she then sighed, and went to a corner, where
she picked up a bow and smiled, and then she putted the arrow in the bow, and then stared out the window.

She pulled back the string and the arrow went as swiftly as a bullet, followed by a loud thud. She simply sighed and placed the bow back on its place.

A few moments later a Servant ran in with a Gun, worried, and continued to examine around the room, but the girl spoke calmly.

"Yu Jing, don't worry, the assassin is already dead. I aimed for his heart."

Jing knelt quickly and spoke in a worried tone.

"My Lady, please forgive me-"

She hushed him and simply smiled before exiting the room and assuring Jing that she was fine in a calm and gentle tone.

She then came to a halt moments later, and turned around, and spoke softly.

"Jing, please inform my father that I will pay him a visit later in his study."

"Yes, if you don't mind, my lady, I'll
leave now"

The girl nodded, and then Yu Jing bowed and walked down the stairs

Timeskip

It was evening, and the stars shone in the night sky, and the moon
illuminated the sky as a cold wind blew

"Please, Dad, I beg you."

A voice said, and then a man sighed and looked at the girl.

"Xiaodan, Jing informed me that
another assassin had arrived."

With a reassuring smile, and a
soothing voice, the girl sighed.

"Dad, I know you're worried about me, but I need to find out why my brother died."

Her father sighed and looked at her
solemnly

"Xiaodan, your brother's death was not an accident; it was planned."

Xiaodan looked at her father with a solemn expression on her face, he can't help but see his daughter's eye's and the hatred and sorrow it hides.

Her father smiled, looked at her, and
said calmly

"Call Jing and go pack your belongings; I'll arrange for you to go to your brother's school."

Xiaodan's eyes quickly widen in surprise, and she smiled brightly.

"Whatever happens, xiaodan is still my daughter and my only family, and I can't bear seeing her sad."

He said to himself, and he was clearly so lost in thought that he couldn't hear his daughter calling for him.

"Are you all right, Dad? Is there
something that bothers you?"

She said in a worried tone.

"I'm fine; now go pack your
belongings with Jing; I'll take care of
everything; don't worry, and have a
good rest"

He said calmly with a sweet smile.

Xiaodan smiled brightly and hugged
her father before saying goodbye and shortly after she exited the room, her father sighed and rubbed his forehead with his fingers as he pondered.

"Yongrui, your sister, has been pleading with me to let her go and investigate what happened to you, and after a long time i have finally agreed."

"Don't blame me; I tried to stop her, but she loves you so much that she couldn't bear what happened to you."

"Your sister is a bright and talented
young lady, but I'm worried about one
thing: because it's an all-boys school,
I'm afraid she'll be exposed sooner or
later"

Her father then sighed and looked at his desk, which was full of paperwork, but then he looked at the wall and smiled.

There was a family picture of them on it, with her mother and brother smiling brightly.

He stared at it, forcing a smile that was clearly full of sorrows and pain, and then said in a sad tone,

"If only both of you were here"

He said as a tear fell from his eye. He
then stood up, opened his window,
and gazed at the moon while holding a bottle of wine. He slowly poured
some into his glass and drank it
while gazing at the ever so lonely sky.

Xiaodan and Jing were sitting in the
Living room, and Jing could tell
something was going to happen
because of the smile Xiaodan was
giving him.

Jing sighed and ordered the other servants to leave the room so he and Xiaodan could talk.

"What's the good news that you're so happy about?"

Jing said with a suspicious look on his face.

Xiaodan appears to be taken aback by what Jing said; she simply looked at Jing and said.

"How did you know I was going to tell you good news, huh?"

Jing sighed, looked at her, and forced a smile.

Xiaodan looks creeped out because of his smile, and she just stared at him.

Jing finally breaks the silence by speaking up.

"How could I possibly know? Who
wouldn't, you were smiling like me
earlier, I was just copying you, you
were grinning from ear to ear."

"You smiled creeply; I don't look like that, you know."

Xiaodan said as she poured tea into
her cup. She sighed, looked at Jing,
and spoke again in a calm tone.

Jing can tell that something is going
to happen based on the expression on Xiaodan's face.

"Jing, I'm going to the same academy where my brother studied."

Jing's eyes widened, he gulped, and he looked at Xiaodan with a worried expression

"However, xiaodan, it is an all-boys
school."

Jing expressed his concern, he was
aware of the danger that Xiaodan was about to face, but he couldn't control her because she had made up her
mind, and no one could stop her.

"Jing, I understand your worried, but I need to discover the truth."
