Wilbur never enjoyed celebrations

Wilbur never enjoyed celebrations. From birthdays to Christmas and other holidays where it was common to spend it surrounded by the ones you loved, Wilbur had always spent it alone in his room with his only company being a bottle of vodka.

He didn't want to spend it with anyone else nor did he need to. The bottle of alcohol was much more entertaining, comforting even. The burn made him feel alive while the alcohol itself slowly helped Wilbur forget what day it even was! He wouldn't need anyone else, until he met you. It was like his world was flipped right side up after being upside down for long. His cold and gloomy mood whenever those celebrations came around quickly seemed to lighten up at the sight of your contrasting expression: happy, excited, bright. It was like you were lighting up his life, as cliché as it
sounded, but there really was no other way to put it when he began to seem less depressed when those times would roll around. He hadn't seen this side of him in awhile.

It didn't take long before you got the nickname of "sunshine' from him. His sunshine. There wasn't another appropriate name to call you other than that and the longer you had spent with him, the more obvious it was.
