I turned to her and my eyes met hers.
She looked at me with gentle eyes. Eyes she wouldn't show anyone else. Eyes with romantic feelings. And a small smile on her face.

I felt able to breathe.
All the pain flowing in my body would be gone whenever she was near.

Y/n pov;

He finally turned to look at me. His eyes were soft. As a heard a small sound of wind, I looked to his hand and saw that he no longer held the mask in anger.

He was calm. I gave him a smile.

Nothing can ever ruin this.

So that was the kitsune I've heard so much about.
From the electro archon, Yae Miko, in Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma... everywhere.

"I really hoped we would get along, but it seems you're unwilling to cooperate." I said lowly to myself.

"Why does he always sleep?" Paimon asked.
Paimon, Aether and Zhongli all looked at the adeptus, once again sleeping peacefully.

"Maybe he likes the peace." Aether said.

"Mr. Zhongli, what do you think?" Paimon ignored Aether and asked him instead.

Zhongli hummed and took a sip of his tea, at the stone table.
"Maybe there's something happening in his own little world, in his dreams. Something he likes a lot." Zhongli said.

Paimon's eyes widened. "You think he enjoys his dreams so much, that he sleeps all the time to see them?" Paimon asked.

Aether looked over at Xiao again.
Xiao had something in his lap this time.
A familiar kitsune mask. With crystal marrow details.

He knew very well how special that mask was. Aether was the one who first had it, but he gave it to Xiao.

He turned back to Zhongli and drank his own set of tea.

None of them really knew what was going on in the adeptus's mind.
But he barely spent time being awake anymore.

Y/n pov:

My breath went quicker.
It's time to talk to Kazuha.

I let Xiao stay at the Inn. Seeing Kazuha and Xiao interract was the last thing I wanted to see. It would be a mess...

I rubbed my head. "I'm nervous about this." I muttered to myself. I looked down at Kazuha, he was walking around at a field. I stood on top of a small hill behind him and thought about what to say.

He definitely knows I'm here...
I've stood here for a while now...
The wind must have told him some shit.

He must be waiting for me to talk to him.

I gently jumped down the hill and landed behind him.

He had some leaf on his lips and blew on it, to create a small sound.

"You've been staring at me for a while, something you want to say?" Kazuha said.
I could tell he was nervous. His voice was shaking a tiny bit.

He noticed as well, cause he swallowed as soon as he was done asking.

"Yes, there is." I said simply.

He turned around slowly, his face showed nervousness. He knew the truth just as much as I did.

The question is... how long is it going to take for him to admit it?

Xiao pov:

I trust her enough to not go there as well.
The problem is, I don't trust him.

I felt annoyed. I didn't want her to see him again, but she wanted to know if he ever planned on telling the truth or not.

I heard something.

My eyes widened and I felt a pit in my stomach.

"XIAO!"

I quickly teleported away, arriving at the other side of Liyue, within seconds.

The sight before me had my heart ache. I wanted to scream. My face had a shadow and a horrified expression.

Y/n laid in the grass. A pool of red liquid surrounding her. Blood.

Is she unconscious?

But, she called my name.

I dashed to her. I gently picked her up.

My breath was unstable and I didn't know what kind of fear I had.

My hands were visibly shaking.

Once my hands were on her body, I knew something was wrong.
It was as if her body was missing something.

She's supposed to wake up, it should be no problem for her to survive a missing limb or anything like that.

"...ugh..." I heard.

I turned to look over to the other body.
The Kaedehara kid was also laying on the ground, but he was starting to wake up.

He had a huge gash in his head and blood covered his white hair and his face.

"What happened?!" I yelled angrily at him.

He opened his eyes and was finally awake.

"Someone... attacked us..." he said.
He coughed a few times.

"WHO DID IT?!" I yelled again. My vision was blurring again.

Screw what I said about humans and their mistakes.
