Serpico x Reader Part 5

While they were alone you were asleep by the fire. Every once in a while you'd swat away something tickling at your face.

"Casca! Let her sleep!" Farnese whispered trying not to disturb you.

The three of you were alone by the fire. Farnese couldn't stop worrying of how much a burden she'd proven to be. She felt immense guilt just wanting to be of use to the black swordsman.

Casca made a funny whimper causing you to tiredly look up at her. Her chest was bleeding you noticed when suddenly you got lifted off the ground with the other two.

Farnese let out an ear piercing scream as some hairy rat-like creature carried you all off.

Isidro was quicker than ever as he chased after the three of you.

He threw a rock as hard as he could striking the head of whatever the creature was.

It slowly glared back at him dropping you all in the midst.

You and Farnese looked to Casca to see if she were alright while you nervously reached for your sword.

You froze remembering it had been broken and lost..

Isidro jumped in front of the three of you protectively. Farnese clung onto Casca with fear and you had no choice but to watch..

Isidro lunged at the creature but it proved a lot quicker dodging his strike. It came at him full force with a bone axe. He just barely dodged the swipes dodging for his life until he fell to the ground. You saw the creature was really going to get him!

You screamed rushing forward to stop it when something struck the creature causing it to run away yelping.

You hurried over to Isidro pulling him back to his feet when you both looked to see a small cloaked figure had appeared.

"There is danger. Be quiet" The voice warned.

"Look"

You both looked up to see the trees above were completely filled with those creatures. You were so nervous you started shaking. Nevermind not having a sword, there were hundreds of them!

The figure acted fast pulling you all into a circle.

They pulled some strange stunt muttering and whispering strange words as symbols appeared through the air..was this magic? Lady Farnese realized what this meant as she looked to the being with worry. It was a witch..

She used some kind of spell to scare off the monsters and protect the bunch of you.

Guts and Serpico came running over just as she vanished.

Serpico hurried to your side as he looked you over.

"I'm fine" you reassured. He suddenly got confused when he noticed Isidro in the tree acting like a monkey..

Farnese had to explain because you didn't know where to begin. Your heart kept racing from what lurked in this forest..

You couldn't stop glancing over your shoulder and around the trees as you all continued on.
