Serpico x Reader Part 5

Farnese behaved stranger than usual you couldn't help noticing.

She looked like some lost little girl as she tried to help with chores and surely kept failing. She ripped and tore people's clothes and nearly poisoned the soup with mushrooms.

You almost felt the least bit bad yet your stubbornness kept you from saying anything kind her way.

You stayed by the river on your own taking on the duty of washing people's clothing.

Puck stayed on your shoulder the whole time telling you fun stories that you wondered if were even true.

Serpico stood not far off with a small smile hearing you laugh a bit. He hadn't seen or heard your laugh before. He just wished he could be the cause of it.

"Y'know" Puck whispered in your ear.

"I think that Serpy' likes ya"

You stopped working as your cheeks went pink. You looked up to see him standing there as your stomach got butterflies.

"I see I've been caught" he smirked slowly approaching.

"Mhmm! Red handed!" Puck flew over to him.

He whispered something in Serpico's ear and his face dropped.

He looked at you with pink cheeks.

"What?.." you felt embarrassed as you shyly went back to work.

"N-Nothing" he stated folding his hands behind his back shyly.

You were suspicious as you finished up the last shirt. You lifted it up with wide eyes.

It was Guts' and it was huge. You couldn't believe how much blood came out when you were rinsing it.

Yours was pretty bad too come to think of it.. You felt at your hair and certain spots still had dried blood..

"I think I'm going to bathe" you stated sheepishly. Serpico's face reddened once again as he didn't know what to do.

"O-Okay. I will.. go then. Just call out if you need anything" he started to walk back awkwardly.

You smirked to yourself. He didn't have to leave but also it still felt strange to have him there.

You glanced around sure that no one was around as you stripped your clothes.

You slowly stepped into the river and started rinsing the blood and mess off. You sat down in the water and dipped your head back feeling it all clear off your scalp as you let out a sigh.

Feeling satisfied you headed back with everyone's clothes. You set them up by the fire to dry.

Most of you had a change of clothes except Casca and Guts who only had but one outfit. He wrapped her in his cloak and just rested shirtless for the time being.

Serpico noticed how his sister kept glancing at Guts and all the scars on his body. Was this a crush he detected?

You sat down beside Isidro who seemed to be talking non-stop. Puck landed back on your shoulder and played with a piece of your hair noticing it was all smooth and clean now.
