Chapter 13

Bella breathed a sigh of relief knowing that at least, things were now going in her favor. Now, she just needed to make sure that Caleb existed in this world or at least with Helena so she didn't have to look for him anywhere else.

Not wasting any more time, she made her way with her morning routine as quickly as she can and when she was done, everyone was already gathered in the living room when she went downstairs.

Carlisle walked up to her with one arm open and Bella rushed to his side and hugged him.

"We know how important this is for you and we wish that we could all join you" Carlisle told her.

Bella stepped back and smiled at him "No, it's okay. I don't think it's a good idea as well to have all of you be there when we confront Caleb. He might become apprehensive in seeing so many of us all at once. Just knowing that you're supporting me with what I'm going to do, means a lot to me"

"Please... be careful" Esme could not hide the worry etched in her face and Alice came up to stand beside Bella.

"She'll have us, so she'll be fine" Alice assured.

"And me" Edward appeared from the kitchen, already dressed to leave.

"I didn't think that you would join us." Bella told him.

"I left her before... I'm not going to do it again." Edward told her firmly. Bella looked him straight in the eye and nodded.

"Good"

Bella was somehow relieved that Edward was joining them. Maybe it would do good for him if he'll be able to meet someone who had the same story as him. Maybe seeing it in another person's perspective would help him understand his situation. She just hoped that this idea was not going to backfire on her if Edward and Caleb ended up agreeing about leaving their mates to protect them, but she was hopeful that Edward was already on the right track towards his and Bella's happiness.

"Shall we go?" Jasper was the one who asked, and Bella turned to the rest of the family.

"Thank you... all of you... I wasn't sure if you would believe me when I told you who I am, but you did and for that, I am relieved and grateful that I didn't have to do this alone" she told them sincerely.

"Nah... we're vampires, what's one more crazy thing to add to our already weird life" Emmett grinned and Rosalie beside her looked at Bella and gave her a soft smile and nothing else but that was already enough for Bella, she smiled in return.

"I know I shouldn't be hoping to see you again soon knowing that we only wish for you to go back to your own world safely, but it has been an enlightening experience to have met you Isabella Swan and I really do wish that we have had more time to talk about your world and everything in it" Eleazar spoke.

"It has always been a pleasure to see you again and talk to all of you after all this time... for me, of course. I haven't been here since my newborn years and during..." Bella was about to say that she hasn't been able to visit since the Denali sister's wedding but was able to catch herself. The trio however caught her staring at them, and Tanya was the one who asked.

"Wait, you were about to say something... was there something else in your future that we need to know?" she was suddenly curious, but Bella only smiled innocently.

"Oh, nothing that you need to worry about" she tried to dismiss it. She could have told them about their respective mates in her future but seeing as this was still the time that they have not crossed paths with their other halves, Bella did not want to spoil the surprise and she was also taking a needed precaution just in case they ended up having different mates than who she knew, just like what happened to her. It might cause unnecessary complications for the sisters.
