Chapter Forty-Nine.

"A relationship and a baby are not the same things!" Merula rolled her eyes.

"You guys going to give me a tour?"

"Please, you were here four years ago," Cassius laughed. "Nothing's changed."

"I'll be the one to decide that," Merula said. (Y/n) giggled.

"I'll have to leave right after lunch. I've got two more O.W.L.s today," (Y/n) said as they made for the door.

"Four?" Lily chimed, bewildered.

"Who's that?" Merula whispered to Cassius, who held a finger up.

"Yeah, four," (Y/n) said, rechecking her schedule as though doubting herself. "Arithmancy and Divination— Six am and Twelve-Thirty pm. Yeah, that sounds about right."

"They're both at twelve-thirty?" James pressed. (Y/n) side-eyed him and did not give a further comment. "What's that supposed to mean?" Harry, who already knew of (Y/n)'s situation, held back a laugh.

"I'll be arrested if I said anything," (Y/n) said.

"Nonsense! You're fifteen!"

"Technically, I'm already sixteen!" (Y/n) said matter-of-factly. "I've done the math, and I'm technically eight days older than I was three years ago but I will continue considering my birthday as June 30th."

"That doesn't make any sense!" (Y/n) hummed in acknowledgement before disappearing out of the chamber with Merula and Cassius.

"Time-Turner, (Y/n)?" Merula asked, catching on. "Really? How'd you get one of those?" 

"For classes only," (Y/n) said. "I've gotta give it back to Professor McGonagall at the end of every year."

"How long has this gone one? How haven't I noticed?" Cassius asked.

"This is my third year with a Time-Turner," (Y/n) said. Cassius and Merula were very baffled.

"Well... Blair and Ben will be coming for the actual Task," Merula said, changing the subject.

An out of breath (Y/n) hurriedly came into the Great Hall for the evening feast. She scurried over to the Slytherin table, settling down beside Cassius. She now had a jean skirt, a white collared shirt, and a black silk cami top over it. Both tops were tucked into the shirt and she had a beret and a pin that was subtly rotating between two different shades of red, blue, and green.
"Arithmancy started late and ended late," she said breathlessly. "Which gave me even less time to change." She shook her head in distraught.

"Always the one for excuses, (Y/n)," Theodore said disapprovingly.

"Oh, bug off," (Y/n) scoffed. "You're too young to understand the complexity of O.W.L.s." Pansy choked.

"You gonna introduce me now?" Merula whispered. She had graduated a year before the Slytherins arrived but she vaguely knew Mattheo and Draco.

"Draco, Mattheo, Daphne, Theodore, Pansy, Lorenzo, and Blaise," Cassius said, pointing to the respective person. "They're all pains in my arse."

"They're sweethearts," (Y/n) insisted.

"No we aren't," Pansy protested.

"Absolute angels," (Y/n) added. "For me, I mean."

"Yeah, for you," Cassius scoffed.

"I don't like you," Theodore said.

"I respect your opinion," (Y/n) said earnestly.
