1. confession

you and isabela had been friends for a very long time, childhood best friends even. you remember the day she got her gift, she looked so pretty.

one day your mom told you that you had to move out of encanto, meaning, no contact with the girl you had loved all your days. you walked over to the casita, ready to confess your love. she wouldn't reciprocate the feelings, she was with mariano after all.

you walked up to the door and took a few calming breaths before walking inside. you saw mirabel,

"hey! where's your sister? i need to tell her something." she nodded and looked at you,
"isa is in her room, she seemed a little mad last time i saw her."

you shrugged it off before walking upstairs and up into isabela's room. as you walked inside you heard muffled cries "isa? are you oka-" you said before being cut off with a face full of flowers.

"what do you want." she asked, her voice muffled as it was shoved into her pillow
"i came here to tell you something" you walked over to her bed slowly,

"that you're moving? i know" she sat up slightly and chuckled under her breath "how did you-" all of a sudden a thought hit your head
"dolores." you said hushed before sitting down next to her,

"i'll miss you." she said as she wrapped her arms around you, laying her head down on your chest. you felt your heart begin to race as you wrapped your arms around her as well,

"well, there is actually something else i wanted to say." isabella sat up and looked at you with her dark eyes. you felt your face get hot as you began to stammer

"w-w-well," isabella giggled softly  "still can't talk after all these years?" she chuckled softly and you felt your face get even hotter.

you looked at her before glancing down at her lips and pecking them gently, you pulled away quickly before standing up,

"i-i'm sorry.. i should've asked-" you said as you began to walk towards the door, before something wrapped around your foot and dragged you back towards isabela.

you looked down and realized it was a vine,
"don't even try to leave, until you leave town you're not leaving my sight." she said as she pulled you back next to her.

she pulled you into another soft kiss, your face got even hotter than before as you kiss her back. she slowly moved into your lap, deepening the kiss before the dreadful moment for air came and you pulled away.

your arms wrapped around her neck as you pressed your forehead against isabela's
"just a little heads up, i already knew you did, dolores can't keep a secret for her life." she said through a soft chuckle

"of course she told you" you giggled before laying down, making eye contact with the girl you had loved all your days. you were living out all your dreams.
