We had to wake up really early today, because it was our third last show. Management wanted the last three to be special, and to go out with a bang.
I was half asleep, and I must've looked like crap, because the guys laughed when they saw me.
"Aww, the Princess actually came!" Mike chirped. I groaned and gave him the finger.
I went over and Vic put his arm around me, and I leaned against him. I was SO tired. I kept having this weird dream.
It was like, Josh was about to fall in a cliff, and I had to choose between saving him or staying with Vic, and I kept choosing Vic! I never understood that part, and then when I picked Vic in the dream, I was suddenly the one hanging from the cliff, not Josh. Then I jerked awake, and I'd fall asleep again and have the same thing.
I probably had 10 to 20 minutes of sleep last night. I was wearing zero makeup, and I tried to pick clothes to make me look less... well... dead, but instead I looked like a stripper.
I yawned. "So what are we doing?" I asked. Tony shrugged.
"Oh good! You're all here. Lauren, you used to be really good on trapeze, right?" a random stage technician said.
I glared at Vic, who pouted. "Yeah, why?" I asked.
He motioned up on stage, where there was four huge trampolines and I noticed a familiar bar in the middle.
About four or five bars went above us until the end of the room.
"Jonathan gets some crazy ideas. You wanna test it?" he asked.
"But she's wearing heels." Tony said. I glanced down at my feet.
I set my coffee down on a nearby table, kicked my boots off and looked back up at the stage technician.
"That a girl!" he said.
We all moved up to the stage, and he flipped a switch. "What song is this for, anyway?" I asked.
"Second Go. Here, try jumping on the trampolines." he said.
I went over to the closest one, and jumped. A blue light appeared underneath the trampoline.
"Cool!" I said.
The stage tech laughed. "Yeah, we're going to get a few people to go on them. How 'bout you guys? Wanna try 'em out?" he asked.
The guys all cheered and laughed. Vic jumped on the trampoline with me. Every time we jumped it was a different color.
"Okay Lauren! Try out the trapeze!" The guy, I think his name was John, said.
I nodded, and jumped up to the bar. I stood up on the bar and held onto the ropes.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"Can you sing upside down?" John asked. I got down on the bar, and hung upside down from my knees.
"Let's see!" I laughed.
John tossed me up a microphone, and then he got the guys to stop jumping. He started playing the music, and told us he'd cue everyone.
I got down from the trapeze, and started singing.
"...How many times can my head hit the ground?" I sang, and John cued Vic to run up and start jumping.
"...How can you love me when I am ugly?" I sang, and Tony started jumping.
"...Give me a second go, don't let me go alone." I sang, and Jaime started jumping.
"...And I'm wondering now, before it's too late!" I sang, and Mike started jumping.
