『L X Reader Oneshots Part 2.』

- strawberry fields forever -

He cuts himself a slice and then one for you.

Smiling, you gladly except the piece of cake and give him a fork to eat with.

" When did you get this good at baking (Y/N)?" L asked as he begins to eat his cake.

" Well I've always been pretty good at it. I used to bake a lot with my older brother before he moved to America."

L nods his head while observing the sad smile on your face.

" Well, all that baking when you were younger payed off. Everything you make is delicious. (Y/N)." He says, licking the last of the frosting off his plate.

You laughed at him while taking your empty plate to the sink.

" Glad you liked it! Maybe one day we can bake together." You say, a light pink tint coming to your cheeks.

L smiles and gives you a happy nod.

" Hey Ryuzaki! I was thinking of making some cookies if you wanna help?" You say, popping your head into the detective's room.

He turned his attention towards you and nodded before giving you a small smile.

Walking towards the kitchen, L can't help but admire your complexion.

The way your face lit up when something you baked came out right, the way your hair would sometimes cover your eyes.

He felt happy when he was with you and his heart would beat faster, and sometimes he would turn his thoughts into gushy writings.

L was falling in love.

The fact that you were an excellent baker and made him sweets wasn't helping either.

Following you into the kitchen, he saw you had laid out all of the ingredients needed onto the counter.

" Okay! Let's get started Ryuzaki!" You yell, handing him an apron.

He slips it on and begins to listen to your instructions on how to measure the flour and sugar.

He zones out a bit thinking about how good you look in an apron but snaps back into it when he hears you calling his name.

" You get all that?" He nods and begins to measure the ingredients and place them into a bowl.

You start talking with him about the Kira case and if he has any new information but he shakes his head no.

" He's been eerily silent lately. I'm beginning to worry, he might be planning something big." He says while bringing the bowl of dry ingredients towards you.

At the same moment, you turn around with a bowl of wet ingredients and accidentally walk straight into L.

All of the dry and wet ingredients come flying out of the bowls and onto both you and L.

" Shoot! I'm so sorry Ryuzaki!" You say and begin to get wet towels.

L doesn't respond but you feel something hit the back of your head.

Shocked, you put your hand on the back of your head and bring it back to look at it.

'Flour? Why is there fl-'

Your thoughts are interrupted when you feel an egg hit you on the arm.

Looking back up at L, you see his hand in the bowl of wet ingredients scooping up another handful of eggs.

"You think you're so funny, huh?" You say while sticking your hand into the dry ingredients bowl.

You pick up a decent amount of flower and chuck it at L's black hair.

The flour lands in his hair, making it look like it was covered in snow.

Laughing your ass off, you didn't notice L picking up more flour and throwing it back at your face.

It landed directly in your face and you begin to start coughing.

Somehow over your vigorous coughing, you hear L begin to chuckle.

You start laughing while coughing and it takes you even longer to stop.

L walks towards you and thumps you on the back a few times to help clear the flour from your throat.

After your coughing fit, you turn around and see L smiling at you.

Without thinking, you lean in and press your lips onto his.

The kiss was short but sweet, and when you pulled away, L quickly pulled you back in.

You smile which results in you breaking the kiss.

L smiles at you then turns his attention towards the kitchen.

" How are we supposed to clean this up?"

'It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out, it doesn't matter much to me'
