The Tough Years I

It all started when Alex was 16. He always felt more attracted and attached to the male figures in his life, no matter if they were friends or relatives, but whenever he tried to explain this to his parents, they always said it was a sin and that it was so wrong. Alex always felt like those words were true but he just couldn't help himself, he never told anybody nor before or after he spoke to his parents, only his bestest friend knew, his name was Sam.

One day after the 16 year old boy came home from school, he decided to sit down with his family and talk it out seriously, because his attraction to the same gender got extremly huge.

-Mom, dad, I have a crush on a boy from my class. I hope that's not a problem and you will still love me like you used to when I dated girls. - Alex said in fear.

- WHAT? HOW IS THIS MY OWN SON! YOU ARE GROUNDED, NO GOING OUT FOR A MONTH! GO TO YOUR ROOM! - the boy's parents yelled at him.

Alex didn't really expect another reaction, but it hurt him way more than the other times he got yelled at about it, because now he isn't able to see his first actual crush for a whole month. "Why do my parents think im a bad person just for who i love, that's not fair at all" the boy thought in his head. He ran to his room with eyes full of tears. 

Every single day of that one month felt like hell to Alex, he was so stressed because he was always thinking about his crush and he was anxious about his crush not talking to him anymore. His parents made it even worse because every day they came home from work they looked for a reason to be mad and yell at Alex and this slowly became into physical abuse such as hitting, kicking, pushing into the walls. And that's how this painfull month went for Alex.

- TODAY IS THE DAY !!! - Alex screamed in excitement without knowing what's going to happen in just 30 minutes.

- What are you so excited for? - Alex's mom asked him.

- What do you mean what, mom. Today is the day im finally going back to school!

- Yes, it is, but the thing is that me and your dad decided to change the school you are going to, we do not think this school is good for you anymore so you are going to a new one. - the woman said.

- WHAT DO YOU MEAN A NEW SCHOOL? YOU GUYS NEVER TOLD ME ANYTHING ABOUT IT, HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO GO TO A NEW SCHOOL WITHOUT KNOWING ANYONE?!?! - Alex yelled at his mother.

- First of all, do not yell at me. Second of all, you know a person from that school, he was in your old class and he is going to be in your new class. His name is Kyle. I hope you guys don't hate each other. - Alex's mother said, but the last sentence sounded so... off...

- Oh, i am sorry. Me and Kyle are in good terms. - the boy said softly.

- Great! Now go to school, you are going to be late and as it's your first day your dad is going to drive you there. - the mother answerd.

- Okay mom, byeee! - Alex said with a smile on his face.

The whole time Alex was in the car he was wondering if his parents knew that Kyle is actually his crush, or they think he is just close friends with Kyle.

Alex finally arrived, he couldn't wait to see Kyle, but then he saw something he didn't want to...

Kyle was kissing with another boy right in front of the school. Alex got sad, he thought that Kyle actually had feelings for him, but it turns out the exact opossite.

Alex got closer to the two boys and gently tapped Kyle on the back. When Kyle turned around and saw Alex he was in shock.

- Hey, Alex, it's not what it looks like... - Kyle said.

- It is exactly what it looks like, Kyle. I don't even want you to explain. - Alex said with tears running down his face, he couldn't stop it.

He was going to his classroom and was thinking about how good it would be if he was the boy kissing Kyle, this thought haunted him. 

Alex and Kyle are in the classroom and unfortunately for Alex, the boys had to sit next to each other. Alex felt so bad about it but he was still sometimes happy he was sitting next to Kyle. 

Every time Alex came home from school his parents yelled at him and sometimes even beat him for the smallest things. He was so exhausted of everyone and everything, he wanted to disappear. 

One day at school Alex and Kyle had a huge fight because Alex finaly confessed to Kyle but he was in a relationship. 

Alex got over Kyle in about a month and went to his old school again after daily fights with his parents because he missed his old friends and memories.
