Chapter 2: "I take this magnectic force of a man to be my lover"

Camilo went wide eyed. He just sat down on the bed and looked around before saying something. "She's only fifteen" was all he could manage to get out. "I don't even wanna talk about this let's change the subject" i smiled and sat down on the bed with Camilo. He looked sad. "i'm not going anywhere anytime soon" i nudged him and stood up. "Well we need to prepare for the Guzmáns so get up" i said heading for the door. Camilo followed behind me dragging his feet. "Guzmán what a stupid last name" he scoffed. I smiled and shook my head.

Mirabel had started a conversation about Bruno in which everyone gave their own stories. Camilo painted him to be some tall rat loving creep which wasn't far off but i wouldn't say creep he was always nice to me as far as i can remember.

"Isabela your boyfriends here" Camilo teased and he transformed into mariano and made silly poses and i threw flowers on him while he was doing it. Isa giggled and rolled her eyes. "Knock it off Abuela will see you" she said. We began to set up the table and eventually all sat down.

They started discussing Isabela and Mariano's engagement Dolores and Mirabel never breaking eye contact. That was until Abuela stood up and said she had an announcement to make. "While i don't want to take any attention away from Isas engagement i do have something i would like to say." "are you sure about this" asked pepa. "yes". "y/n would you stand up for me please".

I looked around confused but i did it. "I know you're a bit young but i decided that having a marriage arrangement would be beneficial. I want you to meet Mariano's younger cousin sometime soon his name is Juan and i assure you he is a fine young man, very guapo" she said smiling. "no" Camilo stood up.
Abuela looked shocked. "Camilo sit down" Pepa said softly. "No shes not getting married she's only fifteen" he repeated. "Camilo honey she's not gonna get married right now we are talking for the future" abuela tried to reason. "She should marry who she wants" he said. "Y/n?" he looked at me.

I grabbed his hand "Tiene razón, he has a point" i said. "I don't want to" i said a little louder. Félix looked at me a small smile on his face. Dolores winked at me. But Abuela wasn't amused. "It wasn't a question Y/n, you will meet juan" she said before sitting back down. "After the dinner you will go straight to your room, you too Camilo, this is disrespectful" she said before turning back to the family.

The dinner continued my hand interlocked with Camilos under the table. I looked over at Pepa "i'll take care of it" she whispered and winked at me. It made me feel better but i knew you had power in this situation. Suddenly Dolores said something to Camilo causing his powers to spasm. "Camilo fix you face" Fèlix said. "Mirabel was in Bruno's vision" he whispered to me. I sneezed and fire lit the tablecloth. I put it out but not before telling Fèlix what was going on. The chain went on and then Dolores blurted it out. That's when the vision was on the table i front of Abuela. Pepa was freaking out so Camilo and i went to try and help her calm down.

"I'm sorry i didn't tell you y/n" she cried. "pepa it's ok it's ok i'm fine i just don't really wanna" i assured her and put a blanket over her. "and you're not gonna" Camilo added holding my hand. With his free hand he gave his mother a hot cup of tea. "deep breath in deep breath out it's gonna be-" was all he could say when the wall thudded and a small struck on lightning hit his nose. His powers can't crazy for a second and i got scared and flew up and hit my head on the ceiling. I came back down and we went back to my room.

a/n i know this isn't a full day yet but i wanna cut it short for the sake of the chapter being too long.

Camilo kept holding my hand and kept asking if i was ok. "Not really but i'll get over it" "y/n you don't deserve some Guzmán because if he's anything like Mariano i already don't like him" Camilo scoffed. "i don't either" i said laughing. "thank you for being here with me Camilo i don't know what i would do without you" i said leaning into his shoulder. "same here" he lifted my chin and looked into my eyes.

I looked down at his lips for a quick moment. "would it be okay with the family?" i asked. "i don't care" he replied and crashed his lips onto mine. They moved in sync with one another. I felt his warm breath on my face and his hand move to my cheek. My hands wrapped around his neck and i ran my fingers through this beautiful thick curly hair. When our lips parted we looked at each other foreheads touching.

"You know i don't think best friends do this" i said laughing. "Wanna be more than my best friend?" he asked softly. "Like what" i teased. "You know y/n would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend" he asked me looking at my eyes looking for a reaction. "yes" i said and went on for another kiss. This time it was longer and deeper. "How do we tell everyone else" i asked.

"CAMILO AND Y/N ARE DATING" Dolores yelled across the house. "about time!" Fèlix yelled. "WHAT?!" pepa thundered. "Expect payback" Isa yelled. "You owe me $20 Luisa" Julieta yelled.

"Well that worked itself out" he laughed. "Yeah it did now how will abuela react?" "nothing she can do about it so it doesn't matter." "Camilo thank you" i said and hugged him. "for what?" he asked. "everything you do for me".
