Prologue

If someone told you that this was just some small time tale, or that I was just some ordinary guy with not a care in the world.....they lied.

Not trying to sound somber or anything, but my story is filled with pain, sorrow, longing, anger, and heartache. And this just covers the beginning of what has become a long journey full of incidents and life-changing events.  My name is Peter Parker, and this is my life story.

I lost my parents at a young age, got sent to live with my aunt and uncle, and grew up becoming a total outcast throughout my childhood thanks to my intellect and admiration of science. My uncle would say I inherited such a mind from my dad, but I can't say much since I never met him. Anyways, the beginning of my problems began with that school trip during the last months of school, a trip to Oscorp Laboratories. That one day we watched Dr. Joseph Stiwell's Genetics Exhibition, where a small spider took a bite at me and changed my life forever.

I had enhanced senses, agility, strength, and the ability to stick to walls just like a spider. It felt great, amazing, even spectacular! I now felt unstoppable, like I could do whatever I wanted with my life, and what did I choose to do? Join a wrestling match. One-on-one against Crusher Hogan and that got me straight to fame, with a newly designed suit and cool name: Spider-Man. I thought I would be famous, that puny parker would finally rise to stardom, but I was wrong on so many levels.

After being accused of stealing from the cash vaults at the matches, I got kicked out, not long before the real thief ran away with the money. I let him go, as payback for the accusation made against me. When I got home, I found the street filled with police cars and yellow tapes. My uncle, Ben Parker, was shot by a burglar who broke in. Frustrated and fueled with vengeance, I went in search of that man, cornering him at an abandoned warehouse in the city. Just as I had him in my hands, I realized that this same man that I let go at the wrestling arena, the same crook that I let go murdered my uncle. I had all the power to stop, but I did nothing about it. It was my fault.

Since that day, my life has been going through ups and downs - scrutinized by the press, chased by police for being a vigilante, dealing with another year at high school, and my aunt and I moving to an apartment following my uncle's death - but I had gone on and become an actual hero because one man told me that with great power comes great responsibility. My responsibility is to help others when needed and be there so that no harm happens and no family is ripped away.

To become Spider-Man.
