Espresso x Madeleine short story

Prettier Like This

Hi haha, I'm now obsessed with Cookie Run HELP- jk I'm just gonna start writing the actual story now...

Madeleine has always wondered why Espresso covers his right eye. Did he lose it? Does he have a scar on it that he doesn't want anyone to see? Who knows... Maybe it was just normal like his other one.

Espresso and Madeleine were going on a date at the park, there weren't a lot of people there so it was more peaceful. They took pictures of pretty flowers, bought cotton candy, made a wish at the tree, and more. It was such a perfect date, but now they were tired so they decided to sit down at one of the benches and finish their cotton candy.

 It was silent for a bit and Madeleine suddenly remembered what he was wondering about earlier, so he turned to see Espresso happily eating his cotton candy. Some of it got on his face so Madeleine wiped it off and he accidentally brushed away the hair covering Espresso's eye. His other eye was a unique one, it was darker with a reddish-pink outline, how lovely! Madeleine stared at it for a bit while Espresso was shocked that Madeleine saw his eye so in a panic, he launched a coffee bean straight into his face and turned the other way to cover his eye while Madeleine was coughing because of all the coffee powder everywhere.

"Why did you do that, my dear? Your eye looks stunning! I could almost faint upon the sight of it." Madeleine confidently questioned while he was still coughing. Espresso was silent for a bit, he was tearing up "Y-You were not supposed to see that! Dammit!" Madeleine was staring at his crying boyfriend for a bit and then gave him a hug "My dear, perhaps you are insecure about your eye?" Espresso silently nodded while wiping his tears away. Madeleine got Espresso to turn around but his head was still facing down. It's now Madeleine's job to make him feel better.

"Espresso, hey, look at me!" Madeleine was lightly tapping his shoulder, the other looked at him still with a sad expression on his face. "You shouldn't feel ashamed about your imperfections, embrace it. Besides, I'll love you just the way you are." Espresso's face lit up a bit "S-So... you don't think it's... ugly?" Espresso was wondering why he was still questioning him "Of course it's not dear! Besides..."
