"SWIVE YOU!"

"Meet you at the Molly house."

I groan.

"So, what are you? Alastor's shadow?"

"Not really. But I can hide in his shadow. I'm my own entity. When I go away, Alastor still has his shadow. And I have a shadow, though it's almost invisible. I have yet to figure out what I can do aside from manipulate shadows."

I look at Al.

"How did you discover him?"

"He was looming over me when I woke up."

"And I got punched in the nose for it."

I huff.

"You sure like scaring the hell out of people."

He shrugs.

"I'm my own entity, but I still get some things from Alastor."

"You like scaring people?"

"Indeed. It's great fun to see their reaction."

I sigh and shake my head.

"Can't say I disagree. Although I prefer playing practical jokes on people."

I look at him with a mischievous expression.

He chuckles.

I look at the entity.

"Do you have a name?"

"No. But I wouldn't mind if you gave me one. Either of you."

"Ace!"

"No. That name doesn't make sense."

"Whispor."

"What- No. Where- How do you come up with these things?"

I shrug and look at Al.

"What about you? Any ideas?"

"I don't care what anyone calls him."

"I guess I'll figure it out myself."

The entity says.

"Alright."

Al responds with a shrug.

Asramiko clears their throat.

"Sorry, but it'll be late soon. Doesn't it take a while to travel back?"

I look at the oracle.

"Oh, damn! Yes."

"Al got kicked out of the inn."

The entity blurts out.

"Really? Why did you feel the need to announce that?"

Al glares at the entity.

"How did you find out?"

I ask.

"They sent a raven."

Rami tells me.

"Oh. Yeah. Why did they kick you out?"

"I haven't been sleeping there. That, and I didn't pay for an extended stay."

"Wow. I'm sorry, Al."

"It's not your fault."

"Father likes you. So do my siblings. You can stay with me, if you want."

"That's really sweet. I'd accept, Alastor."

The entity puts in his spare change.

"I was going to."

"He likes staying in your arms- Ow! What?"

Entity rubs the back of his head where Al smacked him.

"Some things are only my business."

"You didn't have to smack my head."

"You deserved it."

"Guys. Rami has to close shop and get some sleep. And we need sleep too."

I remind the arguing siblings.

"Right! Let's go. See you later, dear."

As soon as we get the good byes out of the way, we leave the shop and head back to my home.

"That was interesting."

"It was. Anyway, how was work?"

"Of all the days you were gone, Valentine had me try something new."

Alastor raised an eyebrow, curious.

"And what would this new thing be?"

"Performances. Starting with singing."

"I'm sorry I missed it. I think I would have enjoyed hearing your voice."

"But you probably would have been uncomfortable with the rest."

"Why, whatever do you mean, Angella?"

"The song I chose. And the small dance I made up for it. They were a bit..." I let the rest hang in the air. I don't need to finish.

"Ah. Well, it's to be expected. And I'm already aware of your profession."

"I know. We literally met there recently."

"Exactly. So I still would have liked to be there."

"What if I sing just for you someday?"

Al offers his hand.

"It's a deal, then?"

I take it.

"Up to you."

"Then I say yes."

Imma just leave this here

Just in case you couldn't hear it when reading. 😉

Also, "adds his/her/their spare change" is equivalent to, putting in your two cents. I changed the saying because the currency doesn't have cents, so saying that wouldn't make... Sense.
