She was running through the desert with her baby trying to escape the fate that was to befall her and her child. She ran into the temple of the goddess Sekhmet. "Sister please, if you can hear me then you know what is to happen to my child and what her fate is." Sekhmet floated down from the heavens in a sand storm and walked out. She walked towards her and looked down on her sister in disgust and pity.

"Why should I help you when you have done nothing but disown your right as a goddess? As I see it, your child is nothing more than a mistake and a monster."

She said in a cold tone of disgust. She turned her back on her sister and started to walk away. "She is not a monster Sek, she is your niece, your blood. How could you walk away from her knowing she is to die? She has the blood of a goddess, my blood." Her sister calls out to her in desperation and hurt.

"And yet, she also has the blood of a demon, does she not?" Sekhmet spat, enraged. "Explain that. Am I to accept and believe her to be innocent. To not go around and try to kill innocents and cause chaos due to the evil blood flowing through her veins? I cannot do that of which you ask of me sister."

She turns her head away from her sister and looks down. Her sister hears them getting closer and panics in desperation.

"I am asking, as your sister, to help my child, please!" She sighed and looks at her desperately, "Sekhmet, I need you to watch over her and guide her. For I will not be able to. You know what my fate is and what it was before I was ever to come before you. You know what tests and trials I must pass to get to the heavens. To be who I am. A true goddess. But I need to know that my sister will watch over her and protect her until I am home. Will you do this for me?"

Sekhmet looked at her pleading sister who is close to tears. She thought about her options. If the child was to die then there will be no chaos but, her sisters and brothers would never forgive her for killing a baby. But, if she was to live, then not only will there be chaos, there will be the smell of death and blood of thousands soaking into the air and in the midst of it all will be the child her sister holds.

She looks at her sister who kneels in front of her holding her baby to her chest crying silently as she awaits her answer. "If I do this, know that the others, Gods and Goddesses alike, will know of her existence and want to either get rid of her for she is an abomination or take her to use her as their own gain." Her sister nods her head and looks at her with appreciation, love and determination. "I shall do my best sister to help you, until you return home to your rightful throne. I will look after the child and teach her how to be a strong warrior and Goddess."

Sekhmet walks towards her sister and kneels in front of her and rubs her hair and moves a strand from her face. She looks down at the baby and sees a beautiful girl with hair the color of a bright flame willing to burn for eternity, rosey lips that were kissed up on by the pinkest flower, and skin as dark as chocolate. She looks down and sees something on the side of her neck, a mark of a black rose, the symbol for death and life. She sees the baby look up at her and she stares into her vibrant gold and red eyes. She kisses her sister's forehead and stands up with the baby. Her sister runs out into the storm carrying a makeshift baby made up of cloth and a ball. As her sister goes into the chaos, Sekhmet hears the roar of demons and vengeful Gods and the cries of her sister as they slay her head off of her shoulders as the sound of her lifeless body falls to the ground with a harsh thud.

Sekhmet turns and calls upon the storm to carry her home. As it encloses around them she looks down at the baby and smiles as she waits for what's to come.
