On The Other Side

I stared down the hall as a noise of chatting came from my other side
The nervousness felt like drowning me with the thought

Soon my mind stopped as a taller figure approached me and accommodated their self beside me, letting their backs rest against the wall behind us

I quickly turned towards the other side,
A tingly feeling spreading through out my body
I uninstinctively looked up
Instantly being shocked of their eyes looking right into mine

The way their hair covered their eyes made it harder to look away
It seemed to sway across his eyes,because of the little impact of moving their head to look down at me

Just as great things are too good to be true
I looked away
Remembering at the same time that we needed to go back to the classroom
I started walking behind them,until I stopped myself knowing there was something I was gonna do

The rest pushed past me and a specific shove made me remember that
I HAD TO USE THE BATHROOM

I ran back towards the bathroom hoping they wouldn't look back

"I can't be less stupid can I"
I said while getting into the stall

I finished up doing my business and walked back to my class
As I got in,I tried my best to not look to their side and sat at my desk
I picked up the note cards I was studying; with shaky hands

The rest of the class was spent to do more studying and the teacher explaining upcoming assignments and handing us pages of work
I did all while stealing quick glances at them through out the time period

Once the class came to an end,the teacher chose two student  to stay behind and clean the classroom
It was just me and them
On one side it'd be bad
Like who would want to clean up after some ungrateful brats
On the other side, I'd spend some more time with them

We were almost done cleaning the whole room
Only a small side of the classroom was left to clean
The teacher had gone to their lunch break
Only the two of us left in the classroom

I started picking up some pencils from the floor when suddenly a hand grabbed onto mine
I looked at our hands shocked and looked up.
