Do you see better now?—Joseph told me curious.—Yes much better. Definitely better. —I answered while looking around the eye clinic, trying my glasses, which had been renewed a few seconds ago due to my eyesight problems.—I guess those glasses are pretty fragile, huh?—They are.—So you're not going to play anymore?—Joseph asked as he left the clinic.—No no, I'm still able to play. I just take them off and that's it.—But the doctor said you couldn't take it off!—Yes, but there are exceptions. You know, you're going to wear glasses too when you're older.—And what did I do?—It's hereditary.—What does hereditary means? And that's how the conversation flowed between my younger brother and me, as we walked towards the exit of the mall. We were going a little fast, since it was our first day of school. We took the subway at the nearest station to the school, and we arrived a little late.
"Okay, here we go" the teenager said, somewhat nervous and anxious as he entered the school gate. He, of course, was the center of attention, since it was not very common in that school to have new students. Mikael, while walking through the halls, listened to how people talked with his friends about their vacations and experiences they had, but obviously, he was alone.Having already made a quick tour of the entire school, he decided to go to his classroom, but, for clear reasons, he did not know. He approached a teacher, and the teacher, as it is his job, gave Mikael directions on how to get to his destination. He clearly followed them, but since the school is big, he got lost in it. He was there for 15 minutes, searching the halls, with the word "C3" running through his head.
7:33 a.m., arriving late (admission to the classroom is at 7:30 a.m.), entering embarrassed and crestfallen, he sat normally, trying to go unnoticed. The teacher, luckily, had not arrived, but he knew that everyone had already seen him, and they would not hesitate to say that he was late, and on his first day of school...
While everyone played, talked and threw papers, Mikael hid in a corner. Actually, well, he wasn't hiding, he just chose that place since he was away from everyone.
Finally, the teacher arrived, 30 seconds after Mikael entered the room. The moment had arrived, what he feared the most at that moment... Introduce himself.
Mikael tried to calm down, moving his fingers harmoniously, making curlers with his hair (which was a bit long), but none of that helped her control his nervousness. He passed, in front of everyone, while everyone saw him, he was sick of that feeling. "H-hello everyone, m-my name is Mikael, I'm from O-Odda, but-but I had to move because of my stomach ailment. I-hope I get along with you-all of you" said the poor boy, while he was shaking and sweating. As usually happens, they all began to murmur, while he was standing on the blackboard, not knowing what to do, wanting the earth to swallow him up. Without saying anything, he walked towards his seat, very embarrassed by the lackluster presentation he had previously given.
With his head in the table, he heard a sudden voice say, "Hello, how are you? My name is Arthur, nice to meet you, it's not an everyday thing to introduce new students to this school." He looked up to see a black-haired boy with dark eyes, somewhat reserved in appearance, but at the same time outgoing and confident.
Mikael shook his hand, but when Arthur responded in kind, he burst into tears. Arthur tried to hide it by putting his sweater over him. "But why are you crying?" said the doubtful boy. "I thought you were nervous, but not to that extent."Mikael, through tears, replied "I just don't know what to do, everyone is looking at me and I don't like that." When Arthur heard that, he laughed and asked again "Is that why you're crying?" and Mikael again comes back to Arthur's question "Yes, and don't laugh about it!" while Arthur was having a good laugh at the situation. "You are so adorable." he stated, as he fingered her hair a bit.
While Mikael wiped away his tears, Arthur explained little by little how things worked in the city, who was who, where things were located, where to go, what the teachers and students are called, etc.
Already at the exit
"You're invited to my house, you can come today afternoon if you want, we can eat or play something if you want," Arthur said as he smiled at her.But you haven't told me where it is.—Ah, yes, I didn't remember that you were new-he said as he gave him a pat on the head (to Mikael)It should be noted that Arthur is somewhat taller than Mikael, so he took advantage of it to make fun of him a bit. They finished their talk and then everyone went where they were going.
