Summer romance

The two were standing near the pond after curfew of course  campground curfew was 11 for people under 21 they are 18 so they should be back right now but it was 1:30 and no one was on night watch.

The two were standing on the beach overlooking the water when his hands intertwine with hers.His hand was bigger than hers not majorly but still he had a firm yet gentle grip on her hand that felt romantic and intimate in a way. His hands rough and callused from his odd job. Her hands softer but still dry from working in the camp office all day.  The two were standing there she was staring into his green eyes as he was staring into her hazel eyes. 

The moment was something out of a movie so romantic and quiet with it being so late. Suddenly he pulls his hands away from hers and places his hands on her hips, so she places her hands around his shoulders. As that happened he kisses her, his lips soft yet dry from the dust on the roads. The moment being engraved in their minds like words into wood. 

They both feel the safest they have ever felt in that moment. It was like everyone's first kiss they had dreamed of. But for these two it actually happened. He had always said how gross he smelt but in this moment he smelled of a nice sandalwood cologne which he probably stole a spritz of while he was at her camper before they had snuck down to the water. She smelled of roses and champagne it must have been her new perfume she told him she got the week prior. 

The two's lips had finally parted after about 20 or so minutes of pure safety romance and intimacy. They had walked back up to their sites holding hands and once they got to his site as his site came before hers he gave her a quick kiss goodbye. She was a blushing mess the remainder of the walk. Neither of them could forget that moment. She told her best friend from home and he told his most trusted sibling. From that point on the two were closer than ever.
