Squid Games: The Kang Legacy Lives On

Chapter 1 : Beginning

I sat there chewing on my fish for lunch.
"Fish..again." I muttered.
Sae-byeok could do better than fish. She could probably bring me kkwabaegi.
"So."
"what?" I replied.
"So, how do you like it?" Hye-jin said.
"It's fine. It's not different."
It's pretty much what we eat everyday.
"Ok. Good cause that's expensive fish! Almost ￦40,000!"
Hm, then you shouldn't have bought expensive fish if i hate it.
"Do you wanna go see Gi-hun later?" Hye-jin asked.
"Meh, I'm just not feeling up to it. I'll probably go to a nearby arcade or something. I'll go after breakfast" I blandly said.
"Good. Finish your food before you go anywhere though, kang cheol."
"Mhm. Annoying.." I whispered to myself. I walk to the arcade when I hear someone yell my name.
"CHEOL!"
I ignored them.
"KANG CHEOL!!"
I turned around, annoyed. "What?" I said.
"Are you going to the arcade?" Chelsea said.
"Yeah..?"
"Can I come with you?!" She yelped with eagarment.
"No,"
"W-what..?"
"Ugh, fine" I rolled my eyes. "Please don't be annoying though."  "ok.."she mumbled
"YES! YES! GET IT! YES!" CLANK. The claw dropped the tiny box and I picked it up. I hold it in my hand and grin.
"Yes.."
I slowly unwrap the pink bow on top of the black box, big enough to hold a ring in. I untied the second tie and pulled the first ribbon off, and when I was almost done with unwrapping it...
"Well?! Hurry up!! I want to see what's inside!!" Chelsea Yelled at me
"Shut up" I say with a glare. I opened the box and threw the ribbon to the side and a tinted yellow card with a phone number and a triangle, square, and a circle. I'm confused at first, but I get really mad because it's so useless and I shove it in my pocket and leave the box.
"Let's go." I say, approaching the door.
"Wait, what?" Chelsea says, sounding almost sad. I Stare at the card in awe, trying to figure out what it is. And a lightbulb pops up in my head.
I reach for my phone and tap on the phone app and dial 0756-1023 and a woman answers. She asks for my name, address, and date of birth, I answer it and head outside for a car or a motorcycle to come.
