Dear father

I've always looked for your approval,
When it never should have mattered,
And now the only thing I seek of this family, is removal.
A child's heart; you have torn, broken, bruised and battered.

You disgust me, father,
You told me so yourself, that you wish I wasn't born,
And although we couldn't wish to be farther,
It seems that your morals are torn.

Keep me, a useless daughter,
Or uphold the family name.
Disown this child let, her run like water,
Because you couldn't keep her tame.

Fear not, I shall leave and that with glee,
But until then, I shall remind you, that children are meant to be free.
