Ellanas POV
When I first met Luna in first year I was a bit confused as to why she would constantly stare at me at the time I thought it was because I was from livermony Until I realized she was staring at my bowtruckle I had with me.
Our first conversation was awkward because I had caught her starring and I stared back until I winked at her then it was just weird- now that I think it wasn't really a conversation.
Ellana?.."Ellana!?"- I heard from next to me looking to my left I saw Luna ,that right I was with Luna taking care of the creatures at the moment "so where were you just now?" She asked me calmly "I was just...remembering.." I responded enjoying the silence that came with our friendship "...Luna do you-"
"Remember our small staring contest? Yes I do it was very amusing" she told me with a slight smile on her face "how did you know that's what I was-" I began only to be cut off again "because I can always tell by the way you stare into the distance and your lips curl into a small grin...you think of it often" she said not missing a beat while I stared at her in awe "que preciosa...mi luna" i said giving her a hug.
"By the way did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"About Harry"
"Oh Potter uh.. no I'm not always one for gossip or things that don't affect my way of life"
"No one believes him about you know who killing Cedric.. I do tho"
"Wait harry's a 6th year, Like you no?"
"Yes.. I'll be sad once you leave..you know with it being your 7th year"
"And so will I, but you'll always be my best friend as for the Harry subject I believe him but-"
"But?"
"I prefer that I don't get involved-with him seeing as the way things have unfolded-"
"But your involvement with me could also involve you with him"
"And I- Luna my involvement with you has no connection to him.. I only .."
"I'm only messing with you I know what you mean"
"Luna- oH MY-NIFFLER LUNA- WHERE IS SAGE??!" I yelled out realizing that the niffler that was sleeping on my shoulder had suddenly disappeared.
Staring at each other me and Luna realized there's only one place it could have gone. The castle where all shiny things live. "Luna that little animal is going to be the death of me" I said getting ready to walk towards the castle searching for our little friend. Now we're really at risk of house points taken away or worse expulsion. With the way everyone treats these creatures I have no doubt in my mind someone is ready to put on an act.
