Present day; Katniss's P.O.V.
I ran past the bakery and headed towards the meadow. I wanted to see Peeta without Madge around... She was such a sweet girl and pretty to but I just couldn't bare the thought of Peeta belonging to someone else but me but yet I had to live that nightmare. I saw Peeta's blonde locks through one of the trees but then I saw Madges bouncy blonde hair beside him. My heart ached and it felt like another knife had been stabbed through my heart. I sneakily walked behind a tree with the urge to listen to there mushy conversations. I mean Peeta was my bestfriend anyway. Right? Madge flirty threw her hair behind her shoulder. Uck. I hate it when she does that. Peeta smiled and flirted with Madge. That was my smile... The smile that was special only for me. My heart burned and I didn't want to talk to Peeta anymore, I wanted to lay in bed all day but I knew I couldn't after I felt his strong arms wrap around me.
Peeta's P.O.V.
I heard Gales voice through the trees. He Better not be touching Katniss she's mine. I know I had Madge but I thought that would get Katniss jealous.... It didn't..... She barely ever talks to me and now I feel like us ever being lovers is a lost cause, my heart has her name on it and burns when she kisses my cheek. I don't know how long it's going to take her to realize that I want her. More than I want anyone else. Anyone. Madge kept flirting with me and I pretended like I was interested but all I could think
about was Katniss. I know it's wrong but Katniss is the only one who can make my heart stop.
