2. THE CHOSEN SONG IS ...

Start from the beginning

I walked along the walkway that connected the two stages.

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

I knelt in the middle of the stage, feeling the pain of the next refrain.

How could this man I thought I knewTurn out to be unjust, so cruel?Could only see the good in youPretended not to see the truthYou tried to hide your liesDisguise yourself through living in denialBut in the end you'll see, you won't stop me

How could this man I thought I knew
Turn out to be unjust, so cruel?
Could only see the good in you
Pretended not to see the truth
You tried to hide your lies
Disguise yourself through living in denial
But in the end you'll see, you won't stop me

As I sang this part, the little girl from the beginning appeared next to me to reach out to me. This girl symbolized my past self, the youth that was taken from me but is now helping me so that we can both overcome our pain. I stood up and sang with all my energy. I felt how Hugo and Damiano were by my side and the three of us together performed as in rehearsals.

I am a fighter and I (I'm a fighter)
I ain't gon' stop (I ain't gonna stop)
There is no turning back
I've had enough

Makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder (oh)
It makes me that much wiser (oh yeah, oh yeah)
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster (yeah)
Made my skin a little bit thicker (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Makes me that much smarter (yeah)
So thanks for making me a fighter (Fighter)

Now I walked towards Elias, who was standing on some stairs while playing the drums. He watched me walk up the stairs towards him.

You thought I would forget but I, I remembered (ooh-ooh-ooh)
'Cause I remembered (ooh-ooh-ooh)
I remembered
You thought I would forget (ooh-ooh)
I remembered (ooh-ooh)
'Cause I remembered (ooh)
I remembered

You thought I would forget but I, I remembered (ooh-ooh-ooh)'Cause I remembered (ooh-ooh-ooh)I rememberedYou thought I would forget (ooh-ooh)I remembered (ooh-ooh)'Cause I remembered (ooh)I remembered

I walked down the stairs and finished the song with Hugo and Damiano by my side. They both smiled at me, proud of what we were achieving. Neither of us imagined so much support from the audience.

Makes me that much stronger (ooh-ooh)
Makes me work a little bit harder (ooh-ooh)
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter
