"I can't do this to you, Sang-woo. Don't you get it? Even after all this, you're one of the last people I wanted see dead...I've lost too many people in my life, I can't lose you too." Gi-hun replied, placing his hands on Sang-woo's shoulders. Sang-woo shook his head.

"They'll arrest me if I go back, Gi-hun. And what about all the debt that still won't get paid?....all those lives lost...and the money will have lost its worth." Sang-woo said in almost a whisper, too weak and tired to fully project his voice. Gi-hun shook his head, fighting his tears.

"Don't say that, don't fucking say that, Sang-woo. That money lost its worth as soon as that first guy died...from there, the more bodies that piled up the less the money mattered-" Gi-hun said before getting cut off.

"I'm down, Gi-hun.....you have to let me go...they won't let you leave otherwise...please. There's no other way out for me, you have to understand."

- PRESENT DAY -

"I was all you had left...so you were desperate to keep me so close to you. You couldn't bear losing me, but now you have Seok-woo, so my presence isn't all that valuable anymore. You have him now, so now that I'm out of the picture, you don't seem so alone. That's why you were so quick to trust him, getting all buddy-buddy with him...and now you don't need me anymore, I'm just dead weight. Is that it, Gi-hun?" Sang-woo said and asked, Gi-hun shaking his head desperately.

"No. Sang-woo, no! You've got it all wrong, that's not true and you know it's not true!" Gi-hun pleaded.

"Remember what I said all those years ago? You have other people, I don't. Didn't age too well, now did it? I never should've let my walls down for you, never should've trusted you. I was right to never believe you back then. You promised you wouldn't leave and well...that didn't age too well, either."

"Sang-woo..."

"Time's up." The officer said, Sang-woo immediately getting up from his chair. Gi-hun slowly stood up, hoping to get one last thought in.

"I'll only say this once, Seong Gi-hun; we're through; as lovers and as friends. I never want to see you again. Ever. This is what you wanted, so I suggest you wipe that crybaby look off your face." Sang-woo said before leaving with the officer.

Gi-hun just stood there, listening to the awful sound of his heart shattering into millions upon millions of pieces. It hurt, it hurt so bad. His mind emptied itself, his heart nothing but a hole now. Tears streamed endlessly down his face without realizing. Sang-woo seemed to walk in slow motion as he left, walked right out of Gi-hun's life.

He felt a pair of hands caress his shoulders and that alone was enough to make him burst into painful tears. Seok-woo pulled him closed and embraced him from behind, planting a gentle kiss on his cheek. Gi-hun made no attempt to return the gesture, he just stood there, feeling the wrong body against his own.

The two men stayed like that for a while, at least until another officer escorted them out. Gi-hun was silent and Seok-woo held his hand as they left the police station.

- SQUID GAME: GAME OVER -

Many hours passed and Gi-hun didn't say a single word as he laid on top of Seok-woo on his couch, his head rested on his chest and his legs wrapped around the other's hips. He didn't even care about the position they were in as the other male stroked his hair gently with a slight smile. Gi-hun was numb, unresponsive, basically out of order. He just stared off at nothing, thinking of nothing and feeling nothing.

Seok-woo kissed the top of Gi-hun's head as let out a sigh when Gi-hun slightly adjusted his hips, slightly grinding against Seok-woo. Seok-woo slowly moved a hand from Gi-Hun's back to his butt and squeezed it gently, earning no reaction from the depressed man laying on him. Seok-woo moved his other hand from Gi-hun's head and down his back, sliding it back up his shirt and feeling his bare back.

Although his pants started to tighten, Seok-woo ignored his sexual urges and moved his hand away from their positions. He wasn't sure how long he'd be able to ignore than, his plans were going so well and he'd come so far. He didn't want to take advantage of Gi-hun while in that state but the other side of him couldn't help himself. He couldn't keep it together with Gi-hun laying there so helpless and vulnerable. Maybe it was all just a sick kink he had. He wanted him, wanted him badly.

Moving his hands to Gi-hun's hips, Seok-woo guided Gi-hun to grind against the bulge in his pants, Gi-hun following the movements without thinking about it. His gaze was still blank as he stared off at nothing with a groaning Seok-woo beneath him.

Stopping his actions. Seok-woo carefully sat up with Gi-hun and gently caressed his cheeks while making him look up at him.

"This was for the best, dear. I saved you. The feeling of freedom will kick in soon." Seok-woo said in a tender tone. Gi-hun still said nothing. Seok-woo leaned in and gently kissed his lips before getting up with the intention of getting something for Gi-hun.

As Seok-woo prepared a sandwich for the hurting man, he could hear light footsteps approach him, and a pair of arms wrap around him.

"Don't leave me...Sang-woo..." he said quietly and weakly.

To Be Continued....🔺

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ahhhh so Sang-woo won't appear TOO TOO much as this arc will mainly revolve around Seok-woo and Gi-hun, but Sang-woo WILL be relevant and the police case will be relevant as well! Eek!

Hope you enjoyed though!

Question: if I were to make the Salesman x Gi-hun story an AU (Alternate Universe), would you be okay with that? It'll be harder to write since there's not much material on him.

But aside from all that, I'll see you next chapter! ❤️🔺
