I walked into class feeling a bit strange again. I tried to push it out of my mind, but I couldn't help but think what's going on with mike. Well it was 1st hour, and that meant math, but where was mrs. Egbert? As I thought a strange women walked into the room and said, "good morning kids, mrs. Egbert is sick today so I am going to substitute." (Great just what I needed) "so class lets take out your homework."

"Well that was boring", I said to mike as we walked out of class. "Yeah," he said in a low tone. "Are you ok?" I asked in a polite manner. "Look I'm fine, just leave me alone." "Ok." We walked in silence for a few moments then headed to our next class.

At lunch I ate my stuff and left, just like usual, and then went outside to play some basketball. At lunch everyone looked so tired, I didn't know what to do so I ignored them and shot some hoops. Mike came and watched me play ball, he just say there and watched me so I just shot like I always do.

After lunch me and mike went to all the rest of our hours and eventually, went home.
When I got home it was quiet, maybe a little too quiet. Usually my little brothers are screaming but they weren't. Strange. As I walked through the door a small breeze hit my face and then I saw it.
