"Nuts, it's not what you think it is," Deez pleaded to Nuts, who merely pressed their lips into a thin line.
"Then what is it supposed to be then, Deez?" They ask in a low whisper, and Deez has never heard their beloved so calm yet so angry. "Why did Willma come crying to me saying that you kissed them? What am I supposed to say, Deez?!"
"I-" Deez bit their lip, unable to say anything further. There was no hole in Nuts' argument, nor was there a lie in what they said. Everything was true.
Deez was frozen in place, stunned. They didn't think that it would get out like this, not this early.
So when Nuts turned away their heel and went for the door, Deez could only yell.
"Wait, Nuts!" Deez was practically begging at this point, but what was the point of being composed? They'd thrown their dignity away the moment they cheated on Nuts. Oh, sweet Nuts.
But all they were left with was the harsh slamming of the door and their tears.
