Chapter 1

Snatcher was in his house reading, just like every other day. At least until a certain hat-wearing girl was pulling an unconscious lady on a makeshift sled, reaching to the ghost's door. Entering without knocking (as usual) "Snatcher! I need help!!" The ghost looked up from his book, annoyed, but then noticed the lady. "kid- first you bring that bow brat and now this lady! WHAT'S NEXT, you bring the entire town!" Hat Kid just sighs "Listen, snatcher, I just need some help, after all, we are BFFs!" Snatcher groans hearing that. "BFFs" as if! Snatcher closed his book and puts it back into the shelf, turning to the hat-wearing girl, "Listen, kid, I'm not interested," Hat Kid pulls her umbrella out, patting it against her hand as she raises a brow "Ok, fine fine, what do you need help with?" Hat Kid smiled, giggling even, "I need you to kiss her!" Snatcher's eyes widen "You want me to WHAT"—?!

Snatcher was busy dodging some blue potions as Hat Kid chased him, throwing them at him until one broke above him and splattered all over him. "kid I'm NOT kissing that lady!" he shouted, "I barely even know her let alone like her!" Hat Kid grabbed Snatcher by his tail, "I just need you to give her one kiss, it's not that hard" Snatcher rolled his eyes, or at least a form of it. "kid as I said, I'm not doing it!" Snatcher pulls his tail out of the girl's grasp and she fell backward onto the ground as the ghost dusted his tail, "And hands off the merchandise kid" Hat Kid gets up, tears streaming down her face, "That lady is my mom!" Snatcher's face goes blank looking at the crying child "All I want is you to kiss her so she can wake up," she wiped her face facing away from Snatcher "I know that you were a prince and I remembered that if a prince kisses a sleeping princess, she'll wake up." Snatcher sighs "kid....look, all those fairytales that you read aren't true, they are merely happy lies, I'm sorry." Hat Kid only nods slowly, gets up, and started walking back to the woman and sat next to her. Snatcher looked at Hat Kid, feeling bad for her, great now I've gotten soft, why do I let this kid live? "fine, I'll do it." Hat Kid turns looking up at him with a smile, "Really, you mean it!?" Snatcher grumbles nodding. "Oh thank you, Snatcher!" The sweet girl hugged him, "I promise you that it'll be worth it!" Snatcher sighs "I hope so kid, if not I'm taking your soul" Snatcher takes a deep breath and kisses the sleeping woman.
