Chapter 8 P.O.V Rose

The elevator doors opened , and we all got off . I was still shocked from what Carter had just said and also upset.
I was excited to come here for two reasons .....
1) To go to my aunts wedding
2) To get a break from Carter

Now my excitement is gone . Carter has been on my mind way to much lately , and I wanted to get him off my mind this weekend . Well we see how that turned out . Now I'm going to my aunts wedding with Carter , I was trying to have a weekend without him not with him . Hey you never know maybe there is a different wedding , and he just happen to be going to also .. This exact day to , And going to the only hotel within miles of any other hotel.... And staying at the only hotel around the only chapel within miles from here .....

My thoughts were stopped when my mom and Carters mom spoke. When they spoke all my hope was gone , and it denied all of my thoughts from moments ago ." Hey honey are you ready to go ?Oh and this is Mrs&Mr. Collins they live next door we see them all the time remember ?" yes I do know the Collins , because my family is close friends with them. Yes I know I know how does Carter not notice you then? Well that's beyond my mind , but whenever they come over for dinner he only pays attention to his phone . Despite his parents telling him to get off of it ...

"They are going to your aunt wedding two isn't that great?" My mom said. I dropped my shocked face and frowned but only for a milo-second before replacing it with a fake smile "Yep that's great mom " I replied still forcing a smile " Hi so you must be Rose , And I see you might have already known about us going to the wedding because you ran into Carter " Mrs. Collins said while glancing in Carter" ya he just mentioned about 15 seconds ago " I replied " That's great"
"oh and we decided it would be best to put the little ones in the same car on the way up there since it's about a 30 minute drive ". " So it's the kids in one car and the adults in the other " my mom said , and if your wondering " Who's driving if only kids are in the car ?"Connor has his license and is going to drive .

We all settled in the car , and my big brother didn't want anybody in the passenger seat ,because he couldn't ' concentrate ' while someone was up there . Also the whole purpose of us switching cars and stuff , was so Jacob and Riley could sit next to each other (they had to entertain each other, so we didn't have to listen to them whine ). So just by default I had to sit next to Carter ....
So here I am at the back back of my moms expedition . With Carter .

My brother was concreting on driving and not even hearing or doing anything else . Which meant no music . We all know how awkward it is when your sitting in a car with someone and neither of you will talk so it's just awkward ...
Well that's how it was right now .
The only noise was the sound of Riley and Jacob talking.

" So are you glad that you don't have to be alone anymore and have me to hang out with ?" Carter asks with a smirk " No I'm not , I was actually fine with being alone " I say smiling innocently he looked at me and his smirk dropped
We were then silent the rest of the way there ........
