"Hey I'm outside," Thomas texted anxiously. He was sitting outside Autumn's house in his old CRV. He switched off of messages and scrolled through his Snapchat. He had been so nervous about this day ever since he got up the nerves to ask her.
Autumn was a girl in his math class. Thomas, a quieter and more reserved kid, sat behind Autumn and had never said a word to her. He'd sometimes stare into the back of her head and get lost in those fiery red locks and lilac perfume. He'd dream of just holding her hand and walking around a park with her. Looking into those bright eyes and laughing together.
These were all pointless daydreams he thought, until one day she turned around and started to talk to him. Thomas was the top in his math class, naturally smart all his life. On that fateful day, Autumn leaned over on his desk and said, "hey Thomas, you know how to do this one?"
This was the start. The two started talking in class every day since then, and often, Thomas would walk Autumn to class. Finally one day, as Thomas was walking her to class, he stopped in his tracks and turned to her.
"Hey I know this is kinda crazy, but would you want to go out with me?" he asked softly, nervously looking to the side. Autumn turned to face him and punched his arm. "I was waiting for you to ask," she smirked.
That's how Thomas ended up outside her house waiting to pick her up.
