Chapter 4: Red

The next day at school, Liana, Chloe, and Pete see Clark with a leather jacket on a motorcycle. Chloe says, "Okay, what planet is that guy from and what did he do with Clark?" They walk over to him and Liana says, "So much for the shy and retiring Clark Kent." Clark says, "I was just giving her a ride to school. Say the word and I'll save you the return trip." Liana frowns and they hear the bell ring and Liana says, "I'll catch up with you later." Later at the Talon, Liana just finished making drinks and is setting them up on a tray to serve customers. Liana looks up to see Clark and he says, "Liana, we need to talk." Liana says, "Clark, please, I really need to get these orders done." Clark says, "Your coffee can wait. I notice you have been distancing yourself from me, can I ask why?" Liana walks around Clark with her tray and says, "Yeah, because your being a little to flirty with me. Look, I don't what's going on with you, but maybe you can stop flirty with me when you know I don't feel the same." Clark rolls his eyes and says, "See that's the thing, I know you've had feelings for me too." Liana sighs and says, "Yeah, a long time ago. I've moved on." Clark softly says, "Liana." Clark softly kisses Liana and Liana has her eyes widen and harshly pushes him away. Liana angrily says, "What was that for?" Clark smirks and says, "To prove to you, that you still like me." Liana scoffs and says, "No, you've it wrong. I love Whitney." Clark grabs Liana's wrist a little hard and looks into her eyes to see tears. Liana whispers, "Please, let go of me." Clark softly says, "I will if you hang out with me tonight." Liana says, "Why should I say yes?" Clark smiles and says, "Because you didn't see say no. I'll pick you up at 8:00." Clark walks away and Liana has silent tears streaming down her face. Liana thinks that there's something seriously wrong with him.
