At first, she felt a burning pain in her head. Followed with a cold chill like death spread throughout her body until she was left in darkness, numb. She was in the darkness for a few minutes, maybe hours. Then, she realized she could open her eyes. She found that she was in the same place where she was "eliminated". The same place where she last saw Kang Sae-byeok. And that was the first-person Ji-yeong went looking for.

While searching, she realized she could traverse through walls and her sense of touch seemed to have been lost completely. It didn't take a genius to realize what she had become. She kept searching anyways, until she found the sleeping quarters and found her friend crying herself to sleep. Ji-yeong sighed, biting her lip, eyes glazed, "who knew I would have someone cry for me when I die." she walked towards Sae-byeok's side. "You should save your energy for the next game so stop crying," Ji-yeong pleads, hitting Sae-byeok playfully with the back of her hand but it just fazes through her. Sae-byeok doesn't react, just shivers slightly and pulls the covers closer to her chest. "Right, you probably can't hear me, let alone touch me." Ji-yeong hasn't come across another ghost besides herself since then. Maybe they all went to hell. Or heaven? Or maybe their spirits just faded away. Ji-yeong had no clue. All she knew was that no spirits were left behind once each body hit the floor. And now she feared that her dear friend will end up the same.

"You have to live. Please, it can't end like this," Ji-yeong cries out to her, as Sae-byeok trembles against the sink, her blood splattered all over it. She took a bad hit in that last game, a large piece of glass protruding from her stomach. 'I am surprised she hasn't collapsed from all the blood loss. Strong as ever.' "Please, stay strong, you promised you would live, so please, live." It's a selfish request, and Ji-yeong knows it. 'At this point, I wish she would die now.  No tears. No suffering. No pain. All you can do is watch as the rest of the players die in front of you. But not her. I can't. I can't watch her die.' "Sae-byeok!" 'Well, I guess I can still feel pain.' Ji-yeong's tears fall off her face into the cold, tile floor without a sound. They just fade away like smoke. Becoming ghosts, even to herself. Ji-yeong's body starts glowing  a soft, sky blue as her tears fall and fade away.
