Looking over his checklist, Salt triple checks he has all his equipment loaded up in the truck. From what he could gather from the call that had arrived in the early hours of the morning, this ghost was extremely active, and potentially aggressive, since all who had tried to enter the house and explore had many items thrown at them.

Just from this alone, Salt was already banking on it being a poltergeist, but it was always best to check for the removal team's best success rate.

Jumping in the driver's seat, Salt turns the key, his truck sputtering too many times before finally deciding to work. He slowly pulls out of the garage of the storage warehouse he keeps his equipment in, heading down the road towards the source of his most recent call.

He parks the truck outside the haunted house, looking up at it through his truck window. It looked familiar to him, but he chalked it up to coincidence of a similar building style and layout, sighing as he hops out of the driver's seat, circling to the back of the truck and opening the doors to access his equipment.

Placing the surprisingly powerful shoulder-mounted flashlight where it belongs and powering it on, Salt grabs a provided door key for the house off a desk used for the camera setup. Looking over the shelves stocked with equipment, he picks out what he feels he'll need.

He sets his two video cameras up on their tripods, planning to come retrieve them once he had located the room with the electronic thermometer, which he had tucked into his belt. Almost like an afterthought, he picks up the book reserved for ghost-writing, holding it under his left arm as he approaches the house, the rain bearing down on him, and the chill of the night sweeping through him, leaving him on edge before he even entered the building.

With a shaking paw, he unlocks the front door, and pushes it open, his flashlight's beam piercing the darkness ahead. Pocketing the key, Salt takes a hold of the thermometer, powering it on, and stalking into the dark void of the house, checking each room carefully with the small yellow device he had clutched in his paws. He didn't bother with the light-switches, as he didn't fear the dark, nor what may lurk within.

As he sticks the thermometer around the half-open door to the main bedroom, he noted the temperature drop below 10C, meaning he had found the room the ghost was residing in. Flicking the thermometer off and tucking it back in his belt, he opens the book he had tucked under his arm, and placed it down on the ground, quickly retreating back to the truck to grab a video camera. He picks up the spirit box, exchanging it for the thermometer, which he discards back onto the shelf. He makes his way back to the room, trying to spend as little time in the house as possible. For reasons he didn't know, this house gave him chills, more-so than when he had the ghost of an insane asylum patient aggressively chase him through the asylum's abandoned hallways with clear intent to drag him to their side of the mortal realm.

Stepping into the room, the unnatural chill instantly made itself known, causing all his fur to stand on end. He places the camera in the far end of the bedroom, adjusting the position so that as much of the room was in frame as possible. His eyes glance about the room for any potential tells, and they fall upon the large double bed besides him. It was a mess of screwed up duvet and pillow casings, the duvet itself being thrown off the side of the bed, leaving only the bottom half hanging on for dear life. He'd seen many messy beds before, but there was something about this one that stuck with him, something that he couldn't place.

Shaking his head clear, he powers the video camera on, then stands up and steps into the middle of the room, gently tugging the spirit box from his belt as his eyes sweep the room. Powering it on and cycling through the channels, Salt asks his first question after a quick sigh.

"Where are you?"

There's nothing but the deafening static of the spirit box for a few seconds, then a voice sounds through it, giving a single word answer.
