Chapter 1 (Introduction)

You couldn't stand the thought of living with your Dad and Pepper. She's horrible to you. She is so hard on you to do your best and she acts like she's your new mother. Whilst your Dad sits back and doesn't have anything to say apart from "listen to Pepper, she's just looking out for you.."

But now your with your mum, it's wonderful. She loves you so so much and tells you every night how happy she is you came back.

9 months passed. Your mum has been dating this guy named Wayne for some time now. You've met him a few times and he's wonderful. You and your mum just moved into his house where he has his 3 children. 17 year old Bennie, 9 year old Jake and 1 year old Sophia. It's all good. You're a happy family, his parents are wonderful they adore you. You're like best friends with his younger sister Ana.

After 7 more months, things start to change with your mother. She no longer puts much effort into looking nice for work or when she goes out with her friends. She only makes an effort if Wayne is going with her. She always covers up her thighs and her wrists. Never wears tops that show her shoulders or dresses that let you see her back. She just. Covers up... Like she's hiding something.

Wayne. He has been more firm on you than he used to be, he is more distant and is always yelling at you. He's so much worse than Pepper was. He acts like he's your dad. But he's not.

You hear him arguing with your mother too. Sometimes, when he leaves for work, you hear your mum sob, but when she comes out she acts like everything is ok.
