Andres's First day of school!

New school, Weirder stuff

Arriving to School
I woke up at 6:30 AM feeling really excited because it is the first day of a new school!
I go dressed, brushed my teeth, and packed some snacks. I called my cousin who lives next door, she came and we got on the truck.
We arrived to school, I went to the cafeteria, and then I tried looking for my classroom.
I got into ELA, we did introduction stuff etc..
My schedule said my second class was PE, so I went and the principal was there doing an introduction about the school.
It was time to go back to my second class, but we went back with our home room teacher on instructions about how to find your class and stuff.

Almost getting lost
I left my home room/ELA class and went into the hallway, I was standing next to the lockers getting my schedule out of my book bag because I didn't know what my next class was.
I thought one of my friends would have the same math class as me, but she needed up going to science.
I was looking at the room number, and I went looking at every door to find math class.
I finally found math, my math teacher was looking at the attendance sheet and it took a while to find my name, we did introduction stuff, and we talked about our summer, then it was time for art, I got excited because I got to sit next to my friends in art, and then we started playing a game where we had to memorize everyone's name.

Weird for the first day of school
Art was over, then I got my book bag and started walking to the cafeteria, I ate Mac and cheese.
It was raining a lot that day so they turned on the cafeteria lights because of the dark sky,
I ate and then it was time to get ready to leave.
I got my tray and went to throw my trash and started walking beside my friend.
Our next class was science, so we went ahead and went to science. As we were walking down the hall, the principal made an announcement saying "We are now on a tornado warning, this is not a drill" so we started rushing to the 6th grade hallway and got down on the floor.
We had to stay like that for 15 minutes, and then the principal said that we could turn around and then just sit down. Then we had to turn back around into our positions.

It happened again
As we were in our positions, the front desk lady said we could go back to class, so I went back and then our teacher gave a rock that we could write on it, the teacher was introducing her self and stuff like that, All of a sudden her phone went off.
It was another tornado warning, so then front desk lady announced that there we had to go hide, so we all went to the hallway and go into our positions.
Since we had ate right before, I started feeling nauseous as if I felt like puking.
This tornado about 15 minutes also, the teachers started talking about update did the tornado and sighting of it.
We sat there for it felt like a whole hour, then we got the green light to go back to class.
I started worrying in my head because the area the tornado was spotted near where my parents owned a store.
As we go back into class we started sharing about what we wrote in our rocks.

Bumpity Bum Dum
After all the chaotic stuff, it was time for 6th Period, so I went to social studies because it was next in my schedule.
We did introductions and wrote what we like and don't like about middle school so far.
Then our social studies teacher was introducing her self and stuff like that.
So then after we finished our journal stuff, we played a game called "Bumpity bum dum".
Our teacher explained the rules to us, the first person in line says a school supply, then the next person says what the last person said and comes up with another school supply themself, and then the next person does the same.
So we started playing it and then as soon as we finished, it was time for 8th Period aka IE.
IE is extra time of the day to finish missing assignments and stuff, it's basically like a study hall.

Andres
I was walking back to my home room because that's where flex time is (aka study hall) and our teacher gave us blank pieces of paper and we watched a video on how to write our name and make it seem 3D.
I wrote all the letters of my name and then I started coloring them in, then it was time to go home.
So the car riders went out the door and starting walking towards the front of the school, then we went out the front doors of the school.
We were in a messy line walking between cars trying to find our cars, then we had to stand under the overhang outside school.
My friend and I got our phones out and started texting each other even though we were right next to each other. It was weird seeing how the carpool worked, the 6,7,8 all stood under the overhang but there wasn't enough room in the shaded part, so we had to stand where the sun was shining.
Then I saw my car and called my cousin then we left.
I waved bye to my friends and new friends I made!
